We had the traditional afternoon tea for three of us.. The food was lovely, me being someone with a more savoury tooth I'd prefer the choice of swapping one of the scones to be a scotch egg or meat pie. We ordered a portion of chips which were homemade like mummy used to make them and the onion rings amaze balls. We enjoyed our experience the atmosphere was just perfection

Fantastic atmosphere and food. Was very well looked after by the waitress so went the distance to check ingredients the cakes were made from. Everything taste so fresh and the scones although sounded the most blandist thing on the menu were amazing.

Went for the harry potter themed afternoon tea here today! Amazing hosts and delicious food. The soup was so yum, as were the treats! Especially the snitch shaped cake pops. Highlight of the event was the broomstick flying lesson 👌

Cracking afternoon tea for our 1st wedding anniversary. Came out absolutley stuffed and the price was very good. The only niggle I had is that the room we were in was very noisy, couldn't really hear each other speak. But other than that, perfect and can't wait to return.

Great stop here on our bike ride, the breakfast is fantastic, the coffee too. The service is very good even with our large party. Loved it.

Lovely place. We had a problem with our order but the staff apologized and kept us fully informed. When the food did arrive it was delicious. Lovely decor, helpful and polite staff. Just goes to show that even when something doesn't go quite right the staff can still make it right. Highly recommended.

We had a Fabulous Family Lunch today in this awesome establishment. The food, service, quality and quantity were spectacular in every way. A first visit for our Son who was on a visit from London, and he was highly delighted with our choice. Chris went above and beyond to adapt Matthew's chosen dish to his Vegan lifestyle, which was greatly appreciated. Again for me, another fabulous, memorable visit to this wonderful place, and a firm favorite, even travelling from Cheshire, its worth the miles. :)

A fantastic place to go for lunch. My friend took me to Dearden Tea Rooms today. I have a severe allergy and have to be careful when eating out. I would highly recommend going here. Nothing was too much trouble. They made sure that the food that I ordered was safe for me to eat. The service was brilliant, the food was delicious. I will be returning.

Spur of the moment visit as I had seen this place many times whilst working in that area but we decided to give it it a try without booking. Found us a lovely window table in one of the many little rooms. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Opted for light bite lunches which were delicious, freshly prepared and a good size. Unfortunately no room for cake so certainly a revisit is on the cards. As a bit of a tea geek really impressed by the range of teas. Looking forward to going back, especially in the winter as aĺl the rooms have open fires.

It always a treat to go the the tea room's, they do a fabulous afternoon tea, served on antique cake stands and China teacups and saucers.
With a variety of little sandwiches, and lovely cakes.
They do a slimming world breakfast if required,
And are licensed, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or spirit if you want.
They have a coal fire in an old fashioned range, and the waitresses are dressed in black dresses and lace trimmed aprons.
The cakes and puddings are to die for.
There is a function room upstairs, and a car park nearby.

My whole family have eaten here at some point and the food and service has always been flawless. Chris and the team go that extra mile with any request and are always accommodating.

Keeping the Victorian decor has always been a reason why I love this place. You feel like you have really stepped back in time and it's this atmosphere that makes the Dearden Tea Rooms all that bit more special!

Keep up the good work!

A visit highly recommended. This is a delightful quaint tea room in the heart of Haslingden. The menu has a good choice of sweet and savoury - we had brunch followed by cheese cake dessert. Food is homemade and delicious and looseleaf tea is served, a rare treat nowadays.
Dining room with its fire blazing is cosy and welcoming and service is friendly and efficient. I will certainly be returning.

Went for lunch to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. I have never been before but I was pleasantly surprised, lovely hidden gem!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is well priced and is delicious! (hats off to the chef!)

Please note it is cash only so don't be caught out but if you are then there is an ATM just outside on the wall of a shop called NISA next door.

Absolutely fantastic place, love the building, not just going out for something too eat it's an experience and all the staff are very happy in showing you around and telling you the history of the building 😊 Lots of variety of food, I came in this week and tried the new special 'Croque Madame' me it was by far the best I have eaten. Highly recommend it to anyone that just wants a tea/coffee for a catch-up or a light bite or a proper meal.. big thumbs up and will be back again soon 😊
