Parc Penallta

Great for family walks and dog walking. This is a regular for us. Amazing views too.

We go for a walk here most weekends, it's a gorgeous park. We particularly appreciate that it has a proper tarmac path which makes it pram & wheelchair accessible. There are a lot of options to go on dirt/ gravel paths too if you want a bit more of an explore, so there's something for everyone. Such a great place to have on your doorstep, recommend if you want some fresh air.

Located a 5 minute drive down the road from me I absolutely love this place. Plenty of hidden little explores around there. Only downfall is the dog poo bags that lazy people are to lazy to take to the bins... but thats everywhere right? People are to lazy to keep a nice place nice.

What is wrong with some people's mentality.They pick up their dogs mess,but then throw the bags in the sides ,for which my dog thinks it is okay to find said bags and bring them to me,, to dispose of,, I am not amused,cmon peeps drop them off at the bin's plz

Excellent space for walking, with lots of different tracks showing the flora and fauna of to advantage. The sculptures and information about the original mine and the reclamation is great. These are just a few of the pictures my daughter took whilst walking around.

Fabulous countryside parking with NCN route 47 passing right through, taking you to Maesycwmmer viaduct, the Gren way and the Tram car wheel. If you follow any of the paths that take you upwards from route 47 you will be able to see Sultan the pit pony. Highly recommended this walk. There is a small charge for parking, but it's well worth it.

Great place to walk. So much countryside and space to walk ur dogs. A lot of history written on the stones and the story of Sultan the Pit Pony

Lovely park with plenty of walking routes for prams, walkers, dog walkers, cat walkers and bird watching.

You could easily spend an hour or two getting lost in amongst all the vegetation and wildlife on the numerous routes around Penallta.

Nice, quiet park which is great considering how big it is. Expected more people but the (free) car park was quite empty. Great place for a walk with family and/or your dog.

Love this place. So great whatever the weather. Great place to walk the dogs or take the kids, or just walk in general.

This is just the perfect place to have a walk especially with the kids and dog!! We've gone several times and have found a different walk every time!! There are going to be improvement ie cafe and toilets which will really help people stay a bit longer!!

Beautiful place.... Massive area to walk around and explore. Great for the kids and dogs. The house is amazing aswell

There are plenty of hills to push yourself and a nice flat at the top car park if you cant walk much.

Fab place to wander. Lots of different pathways to explore. The lakes are beautiful, and it's the perfect place for dog walks.

What a beautiful place to walk! Very well maintained with a pay and display car park, although currently suspend temporarily.

Lovely place to walk the dog, go for a jog or simply just to clear your head after a stressful day in the office. Hopefully this place will be untouched for many years and can be enjoyed by all.

A beautiful open space to enjoy walking. Stunning views and art installations. A wonderful diversity of natural habitats, plants and wildlife.
