Wern Ganol Guest House

Fabulous B&B located between Nelson and Gelligaer, with outstanding views across farmland. The rooms are well appointed, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cooked breakfast is simply to die for. Freshly sourced local food. Delicious!

We arrived on the hottest day of the year to a lovely cool room. Immaculately clean and comfy room.
Tea and coffee, bottle water even biscuits to nibble on.
Room cleaned every day. Lovely friendly run b&b. Didn’t have breakfast through personal choice.
Free Wi-Fi just basically a lovely place to stay.

Just had a superb weekend stay at this lovely Guest House while I attended a local Competition.
From the friendly welcome to the lovely rooms and amazing breakfasts everything was fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who wanted an nice, relaxing stay in this part of South Wales.

Caroline and Andrew are fabulous. They provide one of the nicest and most comfortable self catering places I have been to in many years. It is ideal for visiting the countryside, cities and the coast. I recommend Wern Ganol to any traveller or holidaymaker looking for that little extra.

We had a lovely stay at Wern Ganol between the 5th and 7th August. Caroline and Andrew are lovely hosts with the rooms being wonderful to stay in and the breakfast was great. We look forward to staying again in the near future.

We were greeted by Andrew and shown to our lovely room, breakfast the next day was fantastic, as a ceoliac I am always concerned but didn't need to here, Caroline was attentive and accommodating.

I stayed here four nights for work. Genuinely nice couple that ran the place. You could have a conversation with then without them prying too much. Never seemed false. Helped me out with all my questions. Rooms tasteful, clean and warm. Breakfast nice, two rashers of bacon, always good. Would be better if they had real coffee as opposed to instant but that's by particularity. If I stay in the area again would be sure to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order and veggies catered for. We will be back any time we stay in Treharris.

Been staying here the last 5 yrs (except lockdown) every November for Remberance Weekend and this is so close to visit family nearby

I have to say its like a home from home, Carolyn is so helpful and friendly nothing is to much trouble

Breakfast is filling choice of meat, vegan and vegetarian
Selection of cerals, yogurt, juice etc

Great place to stay with very comfortable beds - tasty Welsh breakfast and the fried bread deserves a mention of . First class hospitality.
