The Courtyard Restaurant

Lovely menu and delicious freshly cooked food. We ate 3 courses and it was all very good. Would thoroughly recommend this family run restaurant 100%. If you get the opportunity go!!

Lovely food. Mostly had the 3 course set menu and it was great value. Lovely ‘tender’ pork fillet steaks and beautifully cooked sea bass. Many excellent GF options. Staff were great. Thoroughly recommend- go try it, I don’t think you will be disappointed especially if you struggle to find great GF food.

Superb food with amazing price. And the staff and owner are very nice. Would love to come here again.

We visited this sweet little restaurant tucked away in the courtyard for our meal and had a lovely evening.

The two waitresses were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious, served with generous portions of veg.
The restaurant itself was very clean, bright and open with a relaxed atmosphere.

I'd encourage everybody to visit ❄

Had a lovely meal here with my partner, before a Concert in Wells Cathedral.
Very nice friendly and welcoming Staff. Superb food, very well presented and certainly reasonably priced.
Tucked up an alleyway, off Sadler Street in Wells, this is a Restaurant that seem to be doing everything right.
I'd highly recommend and we will certainly be returning.

Absolutely delicious food. Their Sunday roast is the best I've ever had. Their desserts are amazing. I would highly recommend this family run restaurant to anyone. Reserving a table is advisable.

The Courtyard is spotless, lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch with all freshly cooked vegetables, at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and attentive, superb service, I can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely revisit.

We visited as a group of 4. We all had different starters and different main courses. All of them were excellent. Some if us followed up with puddings, the bread and butter pud was fantastic. Good value with excellent service, a place that is not to be missed!

This Chef can cook ! The food was absolutely outstanding! My lasagne was the best I’ve ever tasted and the salad was beautiful and interesting. My husband’s sirloin was tender and the chips were to die for ! The ambiance in the restaurant wasn’t that great ( fairy lights half not working ) but service was really lovely and friendly. Would really recommend

Just visiting the area, and looking for a good place to eat. Very pleased to say, we found an excellent restaurant here. Everything was 5 star. Food, service the lot. Can't recommend this lovely restaurant enough.

Went for Sunday lunch whilst visiting Wells - was a late sitting but the food was still excellent and the service impeccable, thank you.

We could not fault a single thing at this restaurant. The food was amazing - the steak is melt in the mouth. The staff are so friendly. The prices are very reasonable and they had an offer on top of that ! Wouldn't hesitate to return if we lived closer, and would recommend anyone to go there. Noticed they also had a varied range of vegan options (instead of just 1option like some restaurants) . 10/10

A very sweet restaurant tucked away in a little alleyway. Simple menu but very well executed. The pork medallions in mushroom sauce was outstanding.

Best roast dinner ive had in ages. I will go back for sure. The waitress Julie was lovely as were the others. She sorted me getting a Yorkshire and both lamb and pork which was great. The meat was lovely as was everything. The restaurant was beautiful and had a lush atmosphere.

My dad can sometimes struggle with choice but this time around he had plenty to choose from for his birthday

Would quite happily visit again and recommend to others
