Fabulous food, couldn't be beaten. What is not to like about breakfast 🥞 for lunch. Tea was pretty damned good too.
Only issue, wish the portion had been a little smaller so I had room for a slice of cake afterwards.
I had the American pancakes with fruit compote, poached pear with the addition of bacon (bacon makes everything better) and it was 10/10, would recommend to a friend, need it again in my life good.

Great place for cycling groups. We were really well looked after having just cycled 35 miles. Fantastic cake selection and lovely Lattes, Flat whites and Pots of tea! Blimey we ate loads! Ideal for getting back across the Mendips. The bikes are very safe as you can keep an eye on them while you are sat down. Really friendly staff and we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you so much for having us!

There is such a great find. We went with my niece who loved the play house. Such a lovely family vibe. The cakes are exceptional especially the malt and stout cake. Also enjoyed the excellent bacon roll and sweet potato hash. Really yummy.

Great coffee, delicious cinnamon bun and frangipane slice. We didn't try the lunch menu, but if we ever visit Wells in the future we would definitley go to Loaf again.

My only moan would be the cafe felt slightly cramped.

Overall execellent cafe and I would highly recommend.

What a gem! It was busy and very popular, and I absolutely see why.
The food was delicious and it's a very vibrant interesting place to be.

Great location, nice atmosphere, delicious food and drink, what more could you want? Loaf is a great place for all gatherings or just a simple coffee and a chat, ask them about their gym next door, Pumphouse gym!

We dropped into Loaf looking for some late afternoon food on a wet Sunday.

Placed in a courtyard next to public parking its well located for easy access to the town (or should it be city) centre, but set back enough to not be slightly off the busy high street.

In the courtyard there is seating available should the weather permit, otherwise there is ample seating inside with a child’s play area in the corner to keep the kiddo’s entertained.

The menu is mainly breakfast and brunch based, with a selection of coffee, teas and soft drinks to choose from. If brunch or breakfast isn’t your thing then there is an array of cakes to choose from.

We had two breakfast, one big and the other biggest (I think that was the name). The quality of ingredients was very good, excellent bacon, eggs, mushroom and sourdough bread. At very tasty artisan breakfast!

The staff were great too. The chap manning the till was very welcoming and friendly, when he served our food he commented that if the eggs were done more than we prefer to let him know and they’ll change them... a lovely gesture.

Definitely worth a visit, we’ll be back next time we are in Wells 👍

Lovely coffee, insane cakes, friendly staff, great family friendly atmosphere. Couldn't ask for anything more! The cinnamon swirl is some kind of heaven in bun-form!!!

This is my go-to every time I visit Wells (4-6 times a year). I'm usually around for about a week each time and will be in there at least every other day; it's that good. The staff are friendly, the food is great and the vibe is cosy. They also have free wifi. In the summer they fire up the outdoor pizza oven on Friday and Saturday evenings. The last couple of times I went, its been really good fun. Finally - the cinnamon buns. Probably the best I've had anywhere. If they're on, get one.

Lovely café with a relaxed atmosphere, set in a rustic, old building. Delicious cakes (especially the cinnamon buns) and nice breakfast tea. Good selection of savoury and sweet pastries on offer. Nice little play area in the corner to amuse young children. Staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. A real little gem!

Wonderful in the daytime and extra special in the evenings for tapas and cocktails. Each dish is exciting and delicious, you will want to try them all. The burrata and the oyster mushrooms are a firm favourite.

We visited Loaf last night as it was recommended to us. So happy we went as everything from the pizzas to the ambience was perfect. Such a cool vibe. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We sat outside as it was a nice evening listening to the chilled music. I think the owner is the guy making the amazing pizzas. He was very friendly and chatty and even gave my husband advice on how to make sourdough bread. Will definitely be back next time we're in Somerset. Thank you.

Lovely spot for breakfast that we stumbled across in Wells. Really interesting food choices and different flavours. Superb pork and fennel sausage roll fresh out of the oven that we got to sample. The place had a very friendly feel, nice courtyard spot and a cool kids play area.

If you used to look good food and coffee... but now you have a 2 year old, this is the place for you! We had a full English, with some extra sides, & French toast. Portions were great for 2.5 people. Food was delicious, great coffee, and the toddler was entertained by the little play house. She had a meltdown when mummy went to the toilet and the staff offered me some chocolate brownie to cheer her up! Felt so warm and welcoming. It did get really busy, especially for a Monday morning so go early.
