Newly opened store in Wells. Nice and large inside. Friendly and approachable staff. Lots of clothing in store, including a selection of accessories. Changing rooms are available at the back of the store. Two entrances are at the store, one located on the High Street, and the other at the back of the store, with a car park attached. A vast improvement to the large empty space there was before.

I went in with a return from another branch and they sorted it straight away no fuss. Perfect service

Just visited Peacocks Wells, was walking back through the store with my partner to make a purchase and happened to glance behind me. Saw a young female member of staff walking behind us making ushering gestures as if we were walking too slowly and she wanted to get past. If she was that keen to get past all she had to do was say 'Excuse me'.
Found this very rude and not a good advert for the way Peacocks treat their customers. She wasn't to know if either of us had a disability and weren't able to walk quickly.
Needless to say I put my item back and didn't purchase. Won't be going back to the Wells store again.

I don't normally write these kind of reviews but I feel this needs to be said and truthfully I don't want to go back into that store ever again after yesterday if that's how the managers treat their staff members and customers! I went into this store to return some clothing yesterday. The lady who served me (seemed to have recently started there) was really polite and friendly. She called the manager over because she wasn't too sure what their return policy was and made sure she wasn't doing it wrong.

The manager on the other hand, was extremely rude to her staff and to me, a customer! While the lady was serving me, the manager stood behind her and was very short and rude with her whilst telling her what to do then the manager left her on her own, to serve another customer even though it was obvious the lady was struggling and she started being incredibly rude to her. I was completely shocked in the way she was treating her, her own staff member. I thought managers were supposed to make sure they ALL work together as a TEAM!

Anyhow to what I was saying, what I thought the manager asked me was for my email, I couldn't remember mine so asked my fiancée for his and she then snapped/snarled at me saying it had to be the one registers to the card used for payment, my fiancée realised she said address not email address. At this point I got so infuriated I had to turn away, luckily my fiancée sorted it out in the end. I understand there is a procedure however the way in which the manager conducted her self was unprofessional, disrespectful and aggressive. My fiancée as a manager also agreed that her behaviour was unacceptable and he would never allow that in his workplace.

I want to also mention that the lady who served me was brilliant it was clear she was new and learning. She apologised for the situation, but I cannot fault her everyone has to learn and that's what she was doing. I felt it was disgusting that she got treated the way she did. The worst thing is looking at other reviews this is not the first time someone has noticed her treatment of staff she is clearly a bully and incapable of conducting her self properly and certainly does not display any qualities of a manager.

I think peacocks needs to rethink/reconsider who they employ in my personal opinion otherwise they won't have a company to run with mangers like that.
