Nice old fashion department store, really good restaurant, great honest food, at a reasonable price, prices had gone up recently, so go less than before. £30 for 2 meals and tea

Recently bought a bed from the Quadrant department store in Chelmsford.Very good choice of beds on display and very good helpful staff .We would definitely recommend going to this shop.

Quadrant department store combines old fashioned service with a modern slant. There's a huge variety of goods on all floors and these are competitively priced. I have picked up no end of bargains in the clothing department, my most recent being an £120 stylish mack for £35! The restaurant is brilliant with a huge breakfast and lunch choice,real old-fashioned fare. Quadrant is my favourite store in town, long may it survive!

I was at the store in Chelmsford today looking for an outfit for a funeral. The assistant Wendy went above and beyond to help me find something that I felt comfortable in and her colleague Jan was very helpful too. I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience and I will definitely return there soon.

My dad went today to buy a new sofa and armchair. The assistant Lorraine was very helpful and nothing wasn't to much trouble.

Went to get a sofa.
We were not pounced on by sales staff as soon as we entered like we have in other shops.
we were just left to roam and test furniture out.
We did buy a sofa and chair.
The restaurant was extremely good with great food for a good price.
The staff were brilliant.

Been here twice recently. First visit was able to make a furniture choice without being hounded by sales staff, although present if you do need assistance. Cafe also sells the most amazing food, and the staff are so great. There's a lift, escalator or stairs, whatevers your preference.

We went to the mens department to look for a waistcoat. But with Wayne’s help we bought a three piece suit and a shirt. He was very helpful and professional. Also very patient as the suit was for my 80 year old Fiancé to wear at our wedding. My Fiancé was a bit doubtful as the suit was a bit more modern than he usually wears. Wayne was very helpful in finding the right sizes for my Fiancé to try on and gave valuable advice as to what size would be the best. Wayne made suit buying a very easy and pleasant experience.

Good variety of house hold items. Plus wonderful cooked food in a very friendly restaurant.

Lovely store with some really nice clothes and home wear. I have to mention the amazing staff in the restaurant. Not only is the food well cooked and delicious, the staff are super friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal there and there is a good choice on the menu. Well
Recommend even if you don’t want to buy anything it is a nice place to meet up for a lunch.

Only found this store last year but some good things been bought and we keep going back, had some good banter with the staff so makes going in there less stressful when my wife wants to try and empty our bank account in there

Just had a meal in the restaurant, braised liver, mash & veg, absolutely amazing, so tasty & good portion sizes, definitely recommend. Brilliant, will be back 👍

The ultimate time warp department store, which I mean in a nice way.

The shop feels like stepping back 30 years in its ethos, this is like a department store that existed before the internet and that’s a good thing.

So much crammed under one roof, cafe, travel agent, furniture, fashion, homewares, furniture, furnishings and done in a very not “modern way” it’s clear the customer service is far different from most places and you get the opportunity to walk through at your leisure without being pounced on every ten seconds.

I’m not sure if the closure of Debenhams has helped the store as it felt very quiet on a Saturday afternoon, but fingers crossed this store continues to remain in Chelmsford, it’s like the last bastion of hope in a city that’s becoming just like every other city.

Very good store and excellent restaurant. Will definitely recommend this store to friends and family. Good staff very helpful,so unusual in this day and age.

On our regular visits to Chelmsford we always make a visit to Quadrant. My wife loves the vast selection of clothes and we love the food from the restaurant Staff are always nice and polite and is well worth a visit. All High streets need a Quadrant

Used the mens department on Monday to buy shoes and trousers.
Mad and pleasant change to be served by two helpful ladies in both departments.
Made a change from trying to operate self service machines.

Good selection of fashion for all ages I would say probably the best fashion shop in Chelmsford. Nice cafe well priced and caters for a wide variety of tastes. Lots of other good things to buy aswell.

I'm never disappointed when I go into quadrant.I usually get what i actually want and sometimes I find something that I wasn't looking for!
my one observation is that they don't
advertise that they've got a cafeteria upstairs, but it's such a hidden gem. There's nothing in the store to indicate that there's a cafe upstairs and even at the bottom of the escalators there's nothing that says cafe. my sister has been going in there for years and hasn't realised once that she could get a cup of tea or anything to eat

I feel like this so needs a bit of appreciation in Chelmsford high Street. Not too popular among toner audience, I was positively surprised how clean, organized and we'll equipped the shop is.
I'm guessing it is loosing against debenhams or John Lewis, however the brand in there are similar.
