Grosvenor Medical Centre

My wife and I have always had unfailingly excellent advise and prompt treatment at the Grosvenor. The nurses, support staff and the doctors are really great. I would like thank Doctor Matt for a recent follow up support phone call to me yesterday. It was quite unexpected and most welcome.

I visited today for a face to face appointment, without going into detail the service I received was amazing my appointment was for 10am I was seen a couple of minutes after it was due, the Dr listened to my situation, then explained what he wanted to do I was then given further unplanned appointments due to the nature of my situation and the nurse who worked with myself was thorough and again made me feel calm about what was going on. I left after 2 hours of medical help with an appointment arranged for tomorrow morning at the hospital.
Thus is the reason we need to value our amazing health care system the NHS works

I am so surprised to read some of the comments here. My experience of Grosvenor Medical Centre is absolutely first class apart from a little blip in 1990, when present staff were still children!!
Receptionists have always been helpful and pleasant. If you explain that something feels urgent, they will get you an appointment that day or get a doctor to ring you. I tend to be able to see my 'named' GP but if that is not possible, any one else I have seen is always attentive and caring, as are the nurses. Making non urgent appointments online is easy as is their online prescription service. I'm really not sure what more they can offer.

Always been happy with the treatment I've received here, but perhaps they need more phone lines, or even better, an email facility, especially during these difficult times. Over 18 minutes wait for the phone to be answered when trying to book an annual flu injection, listening to those interminable recorded messages, only to be told abruptly this wasn't possible and the receptionist didn't know when it would be. That took two minutes. If all calls are dealt with as quickly, why so long to answer? Or may I suggest (yet another) recorded message saying if you're phoning about the flu injection which official advice says you should have, we don't know when it will be available?

Two weeks later. After receiving a very nice reply to the above saying these clinics can be booked online via Patient Access, I spent half an hour navigating and registering on Patient Access's website and tried to book an appointment by inputting first the surgery's name, then their postcode, and both came up with this: "Sorry, we could not find any results near this location". Hmmm. Finally got my appointment on the phone - happy now!

I have been a patient here for nearly twenty years and cannot praise the Doctors and other professionals here highly enough. We are lucky to have Dr Matt Smialowski as our family doctor and he deserves a medal, as he is always so professional, courteous and thorough under huge pressure.

We have met all the regular doctors, at one time or another, and would not hesitate in highly recommending any of them. We just hope that they are able to put up with the ever increasing pressure they are put under and stay with Grosvenor Medical Centre.

I can honestly say that Dr Barnaby is the best GP I have ever met. He is always so friendly, offering a great advice and support. We had seen him with our little baby a few times and he is always so gentle and nice with our little girl, putting her and us at ease. I really wish that all GPs were like him!

I have been a patient here for over seven years and my wife even longer .The medical receptionists are polite and so helpful.
As for the doctor's they are all brilliant and Nick Robinson is amazing and has helped so much.
All in all a wonderful medical practice..

I don’t understand the negative reviews. I have always had a good experience, with the staff being overly helpful and patient. Special thanks to Lynda and Dr. Hinds who both go above and beyond !

I phoned as soon as surgery opened for an appt for my wife who is not registered at this surgery. Very helpful telephonist guided me through to an appt that morning. She saw Dr Yates who examined her and identified problem .very quickly. Prescription issued. NHS at its best.

I was horrified to read the review by Mr Warburton. I have been a patient of Dr Smialowski for many years. I have always found him unfailingly polite and courteous, concerned about my issues and never wanting to hurry me. In short I have found him to be 100% in all respects. I would recommend him to anyone.

I've lived in Tunbridge Wells for 3 years now and have not had any problems with this Doctors Surgery. Getting appointments has never been an issue and the doctors are always friendly.

Excellent service during these challenging times. Whilst the wait times on the phone can be long, that's inevitable during the current crisis. I have always found the receptionists very polite and helpful.

I have never had any problems with this surgery. Everybody from the receptionist to nurse to doctor have been professional and courteous.

The best GP practice. All the doctors are excellent. Dr Matt always goes the extra mile, listens and genuinely cares.

Have always offered fast appointments for unwell children (often same day), very caring doctors

Best Drs I've been to. Never had a problem getting an appointment and staff are always friendly and informative.

They are always so accomodating and helpful whenever I've needed anything. All the staff from reception to the GP's are the same in my experience
