Heights Hotel

We had an amazing stay, staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. Will definitely back in the future.once again thank you all.

Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast. Rooms are clean and functional. Wifi is fine. Views on a good day are amazing, but due to its lofty location be prepared for extremes of weather outside of the nicer days! Brilliant walks and so on surrounding it. However if you want nightlife, possibly consider Weymouth.

This is our fourth visit and will not be our last. The hotel staff are warm and welcoming. Every one of them will and have gone the extra mile to provide all our requirements. The food in the restaurant has been tasty and plentiful, whether it be breakfast or dinner and all requirements met by a lovely staff. Our room is always clean and comfortable. Yes maybe a little 90s but everything you require is provided. We love this hotel. The views are stunning and the hotel is well situated for access to many sites of interest within Dorset. Shall be back.

Lovely hotel with such professional and friendly staff. Rooms are basic but they fulfill the need.

Rooms have coffee/tea facilities but the kettle takes ages to boil. There are 2 packets of biscuits given with your room. Room was clean

Bathroom; plenty of towels. Bathroom was clean. Shower/bath is ok and hot.

Breakfast was lovely and lots on offer. Staff working were so Friendly and helpful.

Only disappointment was the sounds of the heating pipes that woke me up around 5.30/5.45.

Views from the bistro are worth it! Absolutely stunning!

There's a small lobby that you can work from or a cafe but that was quite noisy

Absolutely great location, breakfast with a stunning view, service can't be flawed :) especially Belinda at the bar.
Rooms are okay, everything else makes up for it.

Heights Hotel is a lovely place to stay, many interesting walks and a half hourly bus service into Weymouth. Food is excellent, with beautiful panoramic views of both Chesil beach and Weymouth Bay. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay again.

After reading some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive. Shouldn't have been. We are a group of five, including elderly father. We couldn't have been looked after better. EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF STAFF WERE AMAZING. Five star plus.
The hotel was very clean as was all three of our rooms. Food was very good and plentiful. Seems to me that some people just need to complain, perhaps they should stay home. We have already booked our next stay and can't wait to return. Thank you to all the staff.

I didn't stay at the hotel, I only popped in for a bite to eat and I had the view scrammy of the lunch time menu. Absolutely delicious meal, and what a wonderful view from the window whilst eating. If you are over Portland bill or in the area then I thoroughly recommend that you give this heights hotel a visit.

Absolutely beautiful views and sunsets , our room was clean and comfortable , the staff are friendly and can't help enough , food was lovely lots of choice at breakfast ,love this hotel

Went away with my wife and we had a comfy bed and great location. Didn’t get to see the view too much due to windy and wet weather but overall a fantastic experience with very helpful team members. All organized well and is a historic part of the isle of Portland. Must stay location

Had a really lovely stay. Lovely location with fabulous views from the dining area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the patio area very pleasant. Would just like a little more privacy when sitting outside, suggest some trellis in between patios. Breakfast was ample and very tasty. Would also suggest brighter lighting over the bed for reading. The bed was a great size really roomy and comfortable. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on Portland.

Haven't stayed at the Heights but have stopped at the Olympic rings after Weymouth and Portland hosted the Olympics in 2012.

First visit to The View for lunch with 4 family members...it was such an enjoyable experience. The food was really delicious and the menu was varied and imaginative. The staff were amazing, went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, and brought the food to us quickly and without any fuss. Really impressed with the cleanliness of the tableware, the cutlery and glasses looked brand new. Will definitely be going back to try different things off the menu.

Really enjoyed our stay as the food was great, staff really helpful and the views are amazing. Very good electric charging for my daughter's car. Well done to all the staff 😊

Room was akin to premier inn, with a smaller tv and more comfortable bed. The staff were polite and helpful. What sets this hotel are from any other I have stayed in is the amazing view, the food was well cooked and very tasty I will likely return next time business requires.

From the moment we arrived at the Heights, we felt welcomed with an offer of a coffee on arrival (other hotels take note!) location of the hotel is superb, with great parking. We stayed in a superior room, which was spacious and comfortable. The on site restaurant was superb, amazing views, seafood fresh and every dish we tried was very tasty and portions plentiful, we ate there both nights as the food was of such good quality. Only (very minor) criticism is we would have loved a pair of disposable slippers or gown in the room. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, reception gave us great advice on what to see around Portland. I recommend trying the blood and sand cocktail, perfect to sip in an evening whilst watching the sea. Highly recommended! We can’t wait to return.
