This was our first British pie and mash experience. We came based on the recommendation this is the best pie and mash to have. We had a delicious double pie and double mash, and apple crumble with custard on top. It was an authentic experience with many West Ham supporters. The lovely blonde waitress was kind and helpful. We will come again. Thank you for delicious food and good customer service. And a special thank you to the owner who takes all feedback seriously.

Ain't been here for a couple of years.
Pies cooked to perfection, great portion of traditional mash, nice flavoured liquor.
Tea served on a silver tray and Yorkshire tea, wow, different level for a pie mash shop, nice touch.
Staff friendly and welcoming, excellent value for money.
Recommend and well worth a visit.

I came from far away specifically to taste their Pie & Mash, had seen the pastry on photos before and I had to try it. This is only the second Pie and Mash I ever had, have to say that it is way superior to my previous experience.
Since it took me almost 2h to get there I decided to also try the Jellied Eels for the first time and their sauce - I don’t know what it is but definitely enjoyed and felt it enhanced the flavour.

Good experience overall, I do regret not eating what I believe was Apple crumble, I’ll have to come back again!

Nearly ordered a delivery yesterday but wanted to come in person. Well worth it. Meat in the pies is fresh and very tasty, the mash is tasty and thick, good liquor. Warm clean seating area and polite staff with a smile. Next time I’m down I’ll be stopping by.

Hadn't been to Kelly's for forty years!!! Really nice to go back. This is a great Pie mash shop. Won't be leaving so long to go back. Able to park outside as it wasn't a market day, which was great for mum...5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent pie and mash - haven't visited since the 1970's as a kid . Didn't disappoint . Quick service and delicious food .

Traditional long established east end pie and mash shop. Eat in or take away at really good prices. With tiled walls and bench seating it feels like travelling in time to a bygone age. Staff were friendly and the pies, mash and liquor are as pukka and tasty as you can get.

Absolutely delicious and fantastic pie, mash,and liquor, it just goes down to easy and leaves you greedy wanting more 😋 and they are always very obliging when I always ask for extra liquor, it's nicely served in a quaint little silver pot,

Made a special trip out here back in late November: hands down this made it worth the trip! Loved the steak pie & mash at G Kelly, would definitely come back someday! This being our first pie & mash experience, the crew at the counter were nice enough to show us around the menu and the what's what. Had to get the obligatory side of jellied eels as well! Steak pie was freshly baked, crusty with a good beef filling. Mash was nice and firm and went well with the liquor (vinegar available as well if you'd like to jazz it up). All in all was a good and cheap meal, a true London experience.

The best apple crumble ever!

I was craving for apple crumble with ice cream for several days, and finally got to find the amazing place. It was so soft and warm which was perfectly matched with ice cream.

I won’t forget this first bite. 🥹

The staff was nice, and the store was good eat-in. Love it. Highly recommend!

Have walked past lots of times so finally stopped by for lunch, and did not regret it. Really delicious pie and mash for an affordable price. Amazing vegan pie and the apple crumble is super yummy (and vegan!) too. Can’t wait to drop by again.

Delicious Cokney classic Pie and Mash place. Pies served pipping hot with traditional style mash, so without any milk or butter. Served with liquor (parsley sauce) or gravy. I had to try both and they're both fabulous. Go for the liquor if you want a traditional London experience, or gravy if you prefer a saltier taste. You can add vinegar (or chilli vinegar) if you like.
They also sell Jellied Eels, if it's something you like.
And to finish, they have their homemade Apple Crumble that you can have with warm custard or cold ice-cream, as I couldn't settle for one, I had both of them.
A must try!

Wonderful pie and mash; the liquor (parsley sauce) complemented the pie and mash really well! Apple crumble was warm, and the acidity from the apples made it not too sweet; paired with the ice cream, it was really delectable 🤤 definitely a must try

Even have to stop off on the way to Clacton to pick some up for friends and relatives there that miss good old London Pie and Mash.

An east end London classic! But also open Sundays!

A temple of traditional eels, pie and mash, perfect crust on their pies (usually at least two types - beef and chicken?) and quality mash. Served with nothing less than Liquor - the traditional parsley sauce. And what to start with other than a bowl of jellied eels.

I welcome them back after two years of being closed due to reconstruction.

Have been coming here for years, it is always a great place for a quick lunch. It's incredibly consistent, the pies are great, absolutely nothing here that you can argue with. It's a really good value, tasty, East London institution

Real traditional English food, mince pies and mash! Tried for the first time today and really good!! They have also vegan options. The tattoed blonde lady that served us was so nice and super kind and smiley, I didn't know what some things were and she took the time to explain and was very patient! The staff in general is really kind, there's a very nice atmosphere. The place is clean and tidy (also the toilette very clean I was very pleased!). Also the prices were awesome, so convenient! This place deserves a lot of visits, You ABSOLUTELY have to try this, super super reccomended!
