What a beautiful place, the birds are healthy, and the variety is cracking, lots to keep the children happy. The setting is absolutely stunning. What a beautiful place to enjoy the countryside, the wildlife, have a lovely picnic. Can not fault it, spent a brilliant day there today, then finished off in the spotless clean bright and airy cafe with stunning views.

Nice place for a family day out, great if you enjoy walks and seeing some lovely wildlife. Plenty of paths to walk around, in wetter conditions wear wellies and you're good to go. Many hides located for bird watching with information inside. They put on activities to do around the year so worth keeping an eye out.

Beautiful place to walk. Went on a Sunday afternoon and in a lot of places felt like I had the place to myself. I'm not a bird watching enthusiast but fancied a decent walk. Paid £11 to get in and was well worth it. Could spend a good 4 hours there. Take a book too. Plenty of peaceful spaces to sit. Families can stick to the shorter routes if they like and if you want a more challenging hike then there's some lovely routes.

We arrived on a Monday during the school holidays, for a family of 5 we have difficulty going places without it costing a small fortune, and for £25 we were very happy about the price. We were informed about some activities that were taking place that day and the times which was nice, the kids loved the little park and we had a lovely walk around. The gift shop was bit pricey but that's to be expected. I'd definitely go again in the summer and bring a picnic so we could spend longer there

Lots of activities for families. We spent about 6 hours there between the birds, the climbing frames and the adventurer trails. We were late in the season to hire canoes to explore the wild wetlands which are available through the summer holidays provided your child is over 5 years old. What we really enjoyed was the afternoon pond fishing which allowed us to find fish, snails and larvae with an instructor who explained all about the bugs and how they fit into the bird diet.

Had a brilliant family day out here at the Wetlands yesterday. Lots to do and explore so definitely worth visiting more than once. Friendly and passionate staff. We especially enjoyed the bug pond where you could fish out insects and learn about them. Cafe also serves very nice cake and coffee!

Lovely place, beautiful walks and an impressive visitor centre with spectacular views. Cafe is okay but would love to see some more vegan options. Gift shop has a great selection of all kind of gifts like toys, books, foods, and a nice little optics bar overlooking one of the ponds.
The walks are really well laid out, loads of hides and much bigger than I was expecting (about an hour around the collection area and two hours around the wild wetlands area). I’m not the biggest fan of collection birds but I understand that they are there for education purposes. As for wild birds, I counted around 25 species during my visit, including oyster catchers, shelduck, buzzard.
There’s a few complaints on the reviews but I don’t think £10 entry is expensive at all for a place like this! Will definitely be back here, looking forward to a visit again during migration season.

Terrific day at this brilliant local centre, lots to see, wide variety of ducks, geese and birds. Enjoyed the cafe and its cake selection. Plenty to keep kids interested with hides, play areas and activities.

Lovely day out wandering around the grounds. A nice group of bird watchers let us look through a spotter. Just be aware that due to avian flu you can't feed the birds at the moment.

A lovely place to visit. The place is huge. Loads of ducks to feed so buy a few bags. Not cheap at £1.50 but is a good cause you are supporting. Lots of different ducks to see and they will follow you for more food!! Haha was fun. There are 2 parts one the sucks and the other the reserve which is a lovely long walk around the reserve. You do need a good day there. Wasn't too busy. Cafe overlooked pond and you could watch birds feeding on the feeders. Cafe a little pricey but the food is lovely they have on offer. Also have a shop on sight again a bit pricey but lovely stuff in there. A good day. I would go back again but get there earlier and take a picnic.

As with all other WWT locations, absolutely fantastic. On the day I visited I was privileged enough to photograph a Long-tailed Duck and a Water Rail! And this was on top of the lovely collections of ornamental birds. Completely recommend 👍

The heron’s hide was a fantastic place to sit and watch all types of birds on the open water - this was the first time we’ve seen kingfishers 💙🧡. The weather was quite miserable so it was a welcome shelter.

If you’re unsure as to which bird you’re viewing there are some handy guides and posters on the back wall. Binoculars - even as a novice get a personal set , highly recommended and you don’t have to keep sharing so you get more *bird time* 🦆🦅!!!!

Cafe - very average. Gift shop - nice.

Kids loved it and so did we. Lots of interaction with animals. Gease were so tame that they came and ate out of our hands.
Lovely to see flamingos too.
Each section has its own huge Lego animal at the entrance. There are small play grounds for the children and lots of climbing and balancing opportunities.

Different ways to find out more and learn about the species at the centre and around as.

Wish we had time to spend longer there but we had to find a park up for the night so had to leave.

Unfortunately the interactive water feature wasn't in use at the time we visited due to the on going drought in the area, it didn't spoil our day but it would be nice to visit again and have a go as it definitely looked worth doing.

Will definitely visit again next time we are in Wales and highly recommend it with kids who like to run around.

Was lovely, kids had a great time feeding the birds and playing in the play area. Then in the woods qere lots of big branches to build little debs in the trees! There was more to explore, we only spent about 90mins there but missed lots, big place with lots to see

A great place for photography. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here taking photos of the wildlife and managed to get some lovely shots. It's clear a lot of care has gone into shaping this place and making it accessible to all. I'll definitely be returning. Thank you!

A bit wilder than Slimbridge and much less crowded. Some really placid experiences, good paths and good places to observe wildlife. It's a good idea to make your visit coincide with a high tide time, because that brings more birds in.
