I visited here for the first time with my husband as I recently moved to the area. We loved our meal it was delicious and the service was excellent. Being a vegetarian I had the red Thai curry with rice and chips. Food was piping hot. My husband is fussy with his steak and he's usually disappointed wherever we go but he thoroughly enjoyed his rump and it was cooked to perfection. After our meal we went into the cosy bar with a log burner blazing to have a very enjoyable few drinks. As it's within walking distance of my home we will definitely be returning. What a lovely place to have on my doorstep. Also being dog friendly is a gem and I'm sure we will be stopping off in the beer garden on our walks.

Never been her before and my experience here is highly recommended, from the service to the food is excellent. There is outdoor seating area and is quite big, no dogs are allowed in the garden though. The bar area is quite small but the lounge is big and got a patio area. The food prices are a tad high but if you want good, decent food this is the place to come.

Food was outstanding Andrew is a top chef! Service was up there with the best I’ve ever had! They couldn’t do enough for us and we were a big party so a lot to handle. Will 100% be going bak there again for the amazing food and the best service! Thanks again for a fabulous night

Good choose of food on the menu and competitively priced. Lovely venue and the staff are friendly. Good location with plenty of free parking. Definitely recommend.

A great venue for a mid-week lunch. The menu is really extensive and very reasonably priced. Perfect portion sizes. Service was good. Plenty of off-road parking.

Car Park at the side of restaurant we called in hoping to get a table. Staff were excellent and friendly and were seated in the lovely restaurant. Food here is beautiful and a good portion. There is also a good selection of drinks to go with the great choice of meals. Will definitely be returning sometime soon.

This is our 'go to' place for food. Sunday Lunch is amazing with beautifully cooked meat and an excellent selection of vegetables. Staff are helpful and very friendly. The daily menu is extensive and Tafarn Morlais is one of the few places around these days that offers an alternative to chips, ie jacket potatoes or boiled potatoes. Brilliant for those people who are counting the calories!!!!
Looking forward to the Christmas Fayre in December!!!

Odd review this one! Thanks to Tafarn Morlais for allowing myself and my colleagues the use of their outside seating area and car park for refreshments during the train derailment and fire which happened a short distance from here below Talyclun - much appreciated by some very tired and hungry Firefighters!

Thanks too to the volunteers from the Rapid Relief Team (see photos) who regularly provide emergency refreshments at such incidents - a cuppa and a bacon butty means a lot when you have been working hard through the night. Well done!

Hope to visit Tafarn Morlais under different circumstances soon and write a proper review!

Always enjoy the food here, never disappoints. Had the steak and ale pie and my husband had the lamb shank. Will order this again.

Had a lovely meal here this evening a party of us. Food was wonderful, service was excellent, very helpful polite quick. Lovely beer garden to sit in and enjoy the sun while we have it. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning food at Tafarn Morlais and a great selection of dishes to choose from. The chef allowed me to taste the heat of the 'special hot curry' until it was the heat that I wanted and adjust as necessary. Highly recommended 👍🏻

First time had Sunday lunch at tavern y morlais and was absolutely delicious, first class all home made so much to chose from, staff amazing 👏 and the chef coudnt do enough for us thank you so much will be coming back 👏👍

Visited this place for carvery last week and the staff are soo friendly the carvery was outstanding perfect Sunday dinner with all the trimmings highly recomend this place for everyone lovely atmosphere also huge summer garden with comfy chairs and kids can play! We also came back for evening meal in week and that was fantastic food homemade chips and lasagne and the chicken chorizo linguine huge portions too delish we will be back to bring our friends and family for the carvery cannot say enough about this place cant wait to cone back very soon! 10 out of 10 😊👌 and dog friendly!,
