Orangery Restaurant at the Moat House

We went for afternoon tea to celebrate my cousin's 80th birthday.
It's a bit more expensive than other places, but the setting and ambience is superb.
The food was excellent. We were offered extra sandwiches and mini quiches and more tea and coffee. We couldn't manage all the cakes but were provided with boxes to bring the remainder home.

Haven't been here for a couple years, great pub, service was brilliant, food really tasty and reasonably priced, mostly locals and wedding guests..

Absolutely brilliant, well renovated yet very old site turned into a gastropub. Excellent menu, phenomenal outdoor area, seating and surroundings, brilliant staff, very very cosy old world charm. Excellent car park... Nit-picking -> car park was full, had to park off site, too damn busy, they had run out of ham, and the steak sandwich was very full of gristle... Not enough to ruin it, highly recommend going.

Very nice indeed, been a few times before all for afternoon tea, they offer a choice of traditional or a gentleman's which is more to my savoury tastes

Excellent food, excellent service, and great atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good access for disabled, and excellent facilities.

Just had afternoon tea bought for us as a gift. 4 different sandwiches, scones & clotted cream and 4 different cakes with lots of tea. Yummy 😋

We had a lovely three course meal here, food was really good and tasty, the surroundings were very relaxing. And the service was quick and efficient. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have eaten here many times and have never felt let down. The Hotel itself is excellent in a beautiful setting. We had our wedding reception there and cannot praise them enough.

Such a beautiful venue for that special occasion. The staff are very attentive, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Food is of great quality and flavour

The best steak I've had an ages

Enjoyed fabulous gentleman's afternoon tea, very courteous staff and great service. Thoroughly recommend.

Sat and watched the ducks, swans and a kingfisher as we had on breakfast. Choice of hot/cold drinks and toast brought to table. Choice of healthy options like fruit, nuts, cereals etc and the usual hot British breakfast. We had a bit of each in an attempt to not start the day with heavy stomachs. Additional toast served to table. Had plenty of staff to serve and replenish buffet. Light, spacious and warm area. Was not rushed in anyway and enjoyed the view and the experience.

Saturday evening with a very nice five course menu for £45. Excellent food. Good wine selection in very comfortable surroundings and attentive staff. The Moat House is also very nice wedding venue too and have personally had family occasions there as well. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to visit , and he scenery is beautiful also.... waterfront, wildlife and various seating areas.

Food was nice also , alittle pricey but meh... you pay for what you get.
