Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. Family room was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was simply amazing.
All the staff ( especially Jane in the dining room ) were very friendly and helpful.
Gave room 4 stars as slight mould in shower that could have easily been sorted . Will be returning shortly so will see if they have cleaned it !

Went to share afternoon tea with friends. Had a good time. Had to wait over 20 minutes until staff came to take out drinks orders, and we had to ask. Food was tasty and catered for a vegan and a vegetarian well. One of the vegans pudding was a little dry but still able to be eaten. One glass was dirty, water marked and we had to ask for spoons to eat the trifles with. When we had finished we asked for a table in the bar and staff found one very quickly for the 6 of us.
Had a very friendly and warm atmosphere.

Went here on the 25th of Feb for afternoon tea for my daughters wedding day. No one showed us to our table. We waited ages for someone to come to us in the end a member of our party asked if we were going to get served

Excellent hotel, rooms are well appointed with good facilities. Very clean and comfortable. Dog friendly accommodation and dogs are well catered for. Restaurant is excellent, and food is very very good. A little on the expensive side, but in my opinion worth it 👌

I've stayed here a few times now when enroute up to the north. The hotel is located just off the M6 and is easily accessible. The rooms are very nice - mine was huge this time and, to be honest, I prefer the smaller rooms. Food in the restaurant is excellent as is the breakfast - amongst the best to be honest. All in all a lovely hotel that I'd happily recommend and look forward to continuing to use.

We were treated to a grill night, bottle of wine, fish n chips other half rump steak with all the trimmings. (sauces extra + any additional chips etc) Dessert!! An extra, but so glad I indulged, the creme brulee was absolutely gorgeous, best I've ever tasted!!👍🎉

Wonderful ambience - wood fire. Great service and t bone steak done to perfection. The only gripe I have is that the plate was not warmed/ heated so the sauce immediately cooled.

The Moat House is the place you want to go to if you have that special occasion to celebrate or simply want to dine and relax in a beautiful setting with quality furniture and fittings. The food is what can be expected from a high end restaurant, very well presented with the use of high quality produce. The staff are always friendly and attentive which makes for a pleasant dining experience.

Weddings are very popular here as, are Proms and conference’s.

During the warmer weather, take advantage of the outdoor seating in the well maintained grounds and picturesque Lake.

Definitely a place to go for a rememberable time.

5 stars all round, fab location couldn't hear the M6. Evening meal was delicious, service excellent. Toast needed to be toast, and I had a dribbly teapot, but everything else was spot on.

We stayed here for a nearby family wedding. Very clean, spacious rooms and great service. We arrived early and were able to leave bags and get changed in one of the conference rooms. One of the staff also came to the bar to let me know as soon as our rooms were ready so we were able to get in early. Good hearty breakfast too!

My son's first birthday was done here at Aston Suite. Amazing location and food. Emily coordinated well before function and Adam ensured everything was done as per plan on day. Very happy with the service.

room lots of thick dust under the coffee pod machine has not been moved in a while to clean .half a toilet roll left and refolded on the bottom it should of been replaced with a brand new loo roll not left to be re used by new people in the room. lamp did not work.

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of celebrating our special day at The Moat House, and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue. Located just a stone's throw away from our home, this charming venue held a special place in our hearts as a couple, making it an obvious and sentimental choice for our wedding.

The Moat House is very close to our church St James, a 5-minute walk that added a touch of traditional charm to our wedding day. The ease with which our guests could move between the church and the venue was beautiful and the short walk was so so lovely with our friends and family.

The Lakeside drinks reception in the warm sunlight was beautiful. It provided the perfect backdrop for our guests to mingle, enjoy drinks, and soak in the atmosphere.

The staff at The Moat House were nothing short of exceptional. Every member of the team contributed to making our day flawless, but we must extend a special thank you to Emily Hewitt. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Emily's dedication, professionalism, and genuine care shone brightly. Her consistent presence, willingness to listen, and invaluable advice turned our vision into reality. Emily's commitment to making our day truly special was evident in every interaction – she is undoubtedly a credit to the venue's team. Her warm personality and genuine enthusiasm made her a joy to work with, and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator.

Absolutely lovely restaurant, staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was brilliant, very high quality and presented beautifully. I would recommend this to anyone and good vegetarian options.

2 mains, 2 puddings and an alcoholic drink £75 from the Orangery restaurant. Cannot fault the food plus it was a sunny day looking over the water. Will definitely return and would like on the next sunny day to have bar food served outside. Fully recommend the Orangery in the meantime.

What a beautiful place! The setting of the location is scenic like out of a movie! With a large pond outside the front. The hotel itself is beautifully rustic and makes you feel like your walking back in time. But it also has this modern element which is perfectly entwined. Would be a perfect place for wedding or christening. Was here for a work graduation afternoon tea. The room we had was right at the back of the restaurant and was decorated beautifully. The afternoon tea was delicious with a wide selection of food for everyone. The staff even bought us take away boxes to take the left overs away.

Beautiful grounds, upmarket decor, helpful, friendly staff, and tasty food. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing weekend stay here with the kids. The rooms were very spacious, clean and gorgeous. They have their own lake with ducks and swans and such lovely views and next dole they have a canal where you can take a boat ride to. Staff are so lovely and attentive and service is great.

They have a bar and restaurants food wasn't to our standards as it wasn't suitable for halal but they had a few vegan and vegetarian options and the vibes and atmosphere was lovely.

They also have a great offer for Half terms kids go free this year.

Beautiful place to visit for a meal and a drinks. The food quality is one of the best. Looking over a stunning lake with plenty of wildlife situated in the countryside. I haven't been in the hotel so couldn't comment on that. But it dose look stunning from outside. A very high end establishment by the looks of it.

Very much recommend. Its not going to break the bank eating hear. And you won't be disappointed with the food or location
