Had to quickly register my Dad who at the time was in a hospice and his wishes were to go home but he wasn’t signed up to a local GP surgery and he could only go home if we had district nurses in place from a local GP surgery. Tried Cornhill surgery over the road they told us this was completely impossible and we’re so unbelievably rude and lacked any kind of empathy for our situation - then came over to New Road and the receptionists were so kind and sorted it out within minutes for us, so grateful for their professionalism, they were wonderful! Thank you 😊

Excellent surgery. The receptionists are always very friendly and helpful. Appointments on the same day, medicine sent next door when needed. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Being diabetic I have to renew my driving license every 3 years. At my previous doctor's surgery the lack of a response from the surgery ment that I was into the final few day before losing my license. At the time I needed my vehicle to get to and back from work. I was panicking and rang the DVLA only to be told they were waiting on the response.
This time with New Road surgery my new license arrived with weeks.

Having been with New Road Surgery since my teens.
The doctors and reception staff do a fantastic job.
I was a family home carer and had support which was second to none in debilitating circumstances.
Dr Hussain and his team are a credit too our community.
Thankyou.

Didn't get off to the best start after transferring to this Doctors, but having been here a while I can now say for sure the staff are extremely helpful and caring. Such a shame Dr Griffiths is leaving. Lovely surgery.

Always a good experience with New Rd surgery. Dr Hussain today pretty much diagnosed a condition in my husband that requires surgery which he is now in the process of getting urgently (same day) Even during the pressure of the pandemic this surgery have always been great to deal with, with such friendly staff.

Bit of a wait

I have never felt so dismissed before the doctor told me to go away for 8 weeks and return if my knee is still hurting, after I explained it’s been hurting for two years.
These Doctors are the very reason I never go.

So I paid for a scan just because I wanted to know why I can’t walk.

Turns out there is a meniscus tare, which everyone I spoke to told me that’s what they thought it could be, apart from my visit to this doctor.

I found this out in 4 days with a scan at Droitwich hospital.

Somewhat different to the 8 weeks wait and then see a physio a further 6 weeks after that ( which I’ve already done and a podiatrist ) which I’d explained to the doctor.
After a month of Physio I would then go back if still in pain and if the physio can’t fix a torn meniscus, then I would need to see a consultant and have a scan 6 months after physio.

Then if the scan returns a torn meniscus which it would some 8 months later wait a month for result then the consultant would recommend surgery on an 18?month waiting list so a little over two years older and god know what extended damage I do walking on a broken knee.

This has made me realise I have to get insurance if I want to take care of myself.

Yes I’ve paid for a private scan and am told there is no alternative I need an operation.
So I’ve decided to get a loan and get myself better it will take 4 years to repay a small price for my health.

I will also now take out medical insurance to cover myself as I don’t feel safe without it.

I felt dismissed from the nhs which I rarely use.
Don’t get me wrong I think doctors and nurses, the nurses mostly, need a medal for what they do.
When your critical the nhs is wonderful thing.

But somethings gone very wrong here, they cater for the critically ill, I’d never knock that.

But for minor surgery, they just have forgotten to care I never even had a chance to wait 18 months for surgery. I’d have happily done this I’m more than happy waiting my turn
But the Doctor here did not care that I’m struggling to walk and have have pains, that I’ve treated with my own money ( physio / Podiatory).

So I also went to hospital and they told me it needs a scan and to go to the doctors he should book one for me.
After a physio said it needs a scan also.
My Doctor said come back in 8 weeks if it still hurts. Very very disappointing

Makes me reconsider my values in my taxes and businesses and where this country is heading ultimately your on your own
