MYTHOS GREEK RESTAURANT - HOYLAKE - WIRRAL

A little bit of Greece in the heart of Hoylake. We went for an anniversary meal. The food was excellent, a real taste of Greece. So much to choose from the menu, so we will have to keep going back. The service was great and the bill was reasonable.

Food was delicious! We decided to get the Meze for 2, we were so full from the 1st course we struggled with the 2nd course as there was so much food, all tasted fresh and just absolutely yummy!!
Advise to book a table as we arrived at 530 and it looked like they had quite a few reservations already by the time we had left the restaurant was busy!

From the moment we walked in the service was impeccable. The food was fantastic and the chef very attentive, he even came and set my saganaki on fire. A wonderful relaxed homely atmosphere.

Absolute gem of a place! My sister had her 60th there and the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back.

Excellent choice for the meat eater and vegetarian. Good prices. We were the only people in the restaurant, but the service and food were still excellent.

A warm welcome, great service and excellent authentic Greek food. Bring a large appetite with you or ask for a doggy bag. They even have Retsina on the wine list.

This is such a good find and absolutely brilliant. Set in the centre of Hoylake, this place is easily missable however once inside the Greek vibe strikes you. The owner was lovely, and the food was fantastic. Tasty and well-sized, this place is well worth a visit. Well worth the money.

Fantastic experience, I went in with my three kids and we were so looked after. Made to feel so welcome, drinks were served quickly then the starters, which were great
After a small break, no rush, the mains arrived. I had a beautiful sea bass, the others had various meat kebabs and one veggie meal.
Had enough space to share some desserts.
Finished off with a traditional coffee.
Loved it.

We ordered a takeaway which was very nice. Never the same as eating in, but still excellent. Prepared on time for collection and very friendly and helpful - offered to help me carry some of the bags. I didn't need to take up the offer but it was very much appreciated.

A party of 12 early evening. Great choices on the menu. The Calamari starter was cooked perfectly, while the Lamb chops were to die for. Personally I shared a Meze, which is terrific, as you get such a variety of great tasting food. Service was faultless and so friendly. Will be one of my regular haunts.

Today I rang the owner of the Mythos restaurant asking him if he would kindly give me their ouzo chicken recipe . I had eaten it a few months earlier and found it to be delicious, and I wanted to cook it for my elderly brother who has been rather poorly of late. Not only did he give me the recipe, he generously gave me a large container of the sauce which the chicken is cooked in. He even offered to come to my home and cook the meal free of charge. I didn't take him up on his offer as I really enjoy cooking, but what kind person he is. I hope his restaurant thrives, because people such as he are special. So come on everybody not only is both the food and ambience great, but you have the opportunity to reward a thoroughly decent man

We booked a family meal for a very special wedding anniversary and would certainly highly recommend eating here. From the minute you walk through the door the service is just fabulous, the food which there was plenty of was absolutely delicious.
On a plus side there was even entertainment, Gary Murphy which made it even more special.
Will definitely be returning very soon.

I have celiac and am always nervous when first trying a resteraunt, especially for take away ! They were EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable on the phone, and helped me navigate which items were gluten free. I was even able to order sides for everyone else without feeling nervous about cross contamination, and they have a dedicated fryer for their chips! The next day I didn't have ANY adverse side affects. We're going for round two already the following night🤞🤞

The food was absolutely fresh and delicious. The service warm and friendly. Nice wine and had entertainment on on the night which was first class. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. I'll definitely be a regular.

Warm and friendly service, food is exceptional - the Greek salad is to die for. Great menu choices, and authentic Greek cuisine. Highly recommend - a standout restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic! It had been a year since we were last in Greece so we went to Mythos and I'm so happy we did. The food, the custom, the friendliness and the atmosphere took me right back.
We went for the meze (which is very reasonable at £22ph for four courses) and loved every bite. It was nice that they left all the dips for the whole meal too.
The belly dancer was a nice surprise and even though we had intended on a quiet early night out we both ended up dancing around!
Overall, nice family friendly place with great food at a reasonable price. Well recommended.

We had a wonderful night at MYTHOS with fabulous entertainment by Fatima. The food was delicious and traditional in style. The moussaka was the best I have eaten in a long while. The front of house team were friendly and efficient. My husband was one of those taken up to dance. It truly felt like a party night in Greece. A memorable evening. Thank you all. We will be rushing back to try more great food!
