Car Park

Lake of Menteith is a beautiful location. This car park not only has great access to the local trails but to the waters edge. The information board has the key details for the area. If, like we were. You're looking to do water sports, call the fisheries. Non powered sports are allowed but check for local wildlife breeding restrictions for island access.

Park here and walk down the steps to a little shale beach where you can picnic and paddle. Lovely.

Beautiful spot, shame when people go to the toilet and don't clean up after themselves. Take your rubbish with you and if you really have to dig a hole!!

Stopped here with a friend to look at the lake. You could walk alongside the lake but there is no designated walking trails from the car park. This suits anyone who wants access to lake for paddling or skimming stones!

The lake of Monteith, the only lake in Scotland, as the rest are Lochs.
