We always hunt out any shops that sell Irvings fabulous biscuits. Living in Derbyshire but often working in Tyneside there's a deli that sells them in Tynemouth so I always stock up. Luckily we also know a few shops in Galloway and the Borders that sell them so when we visit for a break we stock up again! The raspberry and white chocolate oaties are amazing. By far the best biccies anywhere.

Well what can i say this is an exceptional in house bakery that produces the BEST IRVINGS Ecclefechan Cakes, Empire biscuits, Jams and Chutneys i have ever tasted and they even have their own mustard and tartar sauce ready for Christmas...Paul's favourite biscuits are the Empire ones: they are scrumptious. The shop is open to the public and they have a lovely choice of cakes, tarts and biscuits too. I am not allowed, i wish they would produce a diabetic range!

Custard Creams are a must to try. You have not lived until you have tried them. Perfect for small gifts as well. You will not want to go back to standard custard creams again! Also, the staff here are amazing, we order by email and they are fast, polite and so helpful. Delivery costs low too. Go on try the Custard Creams, amazing is the only word.

Great selection of cakes as you would expect from a top class bakery and it also does the best tattie scones.

This is a lovely little bakery.doing a variety of scones cakes and biscuits and beautiful sponges it's just outside Castle Douglas on the A713 definitely worth a visit as all goods made on site and very very reasonable prices and very helpful friendly staff.

Everything from Irvings is a hit, peppermint slices, empire biscuits and custard creams all firm favourites as well as the occasional half cake. A packet of biscuits from Irvings can always be relied on to brighten any day. Will continue to buy from them for life. 11/10

On holiday in Scotland and staying at loch ken holiday park in may 2016 was given a lovely hamper full of local delightful products and in it was these wonderful biscuits witch we saved until we got home .back on holiday in September we asked where did they buy the biscuits from this lovely young lady told me about your fantastic bakery and a little about your history ,so we had to visit the shop and we were greeted buy the lady who owns it what a wonderful lady she showed us all around the bakery explained everything that goes on there and lots of the history so amazing ,back in the shop we bought lots of biscuits cakes and some to take back home for friend's and family .I have just had a cup of tea and 1 or 2 of your biscuits and it brought back memories of my stay in Scotland and I can't wait until may 2017 and we will be back the first stop is your wonderful bakery . X

Lovely cakes for everyone

If you find yourself in Castle Douglas and are partial to a biscuit I highly recommend calling in. Also sell cakes and a selection of local jams and other goodies, all locally made. Please note it is closed Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.

Cherry loaf, sultana drops, brownies, love "Mrs Irvings" as mum calls it. The cakes and biscuits all taste like home made. Lovely stuff

Great factory shop always well stocked at great prices. They also sell chutney and baking items such as dried fruits and nib nuts
