Very Beautiful and wonderful place to visit and reflect .We visited out of the usual season between Christmas and New year but still the sunshine came out for us to enjoy the grounds and gardens. The building and art is fantastic and pleasure to behold it truly is a hidden gem in Kent.

The place is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. There are times in life where we find/seek peace and feel the need to clear our minds from all the worries we have in the world. This might be the place you are looking for. Try taking a walk around the place. There is also a wonderful garden for you to see.

It’s my first time to visit the place and it is such a wonderful experience. I attended a holy mass and the weather was great and sunny.

There is no parking fee but, it would be of great help if you donate to the monastery as the place needs to be well-maintained and tidy.

Highly recommended place.

A very beautiful and scenic place to get away from everything. It has a pottery studio where you can sign up for lessons, as well as two places to get some food. I believe this is still being used for regular masses (12pm almost everyday). It was so peaceful when we went- we will definitely be going back!!

This is an amazing place to visit and unwind. Lot of greenery and quiet space for people to relax and reflect. Of course the history of the priory is all around dating back to 1242. The architecture is amazing and thoroughly enjoyable.
There is a cafe/ restaurant in a thatched barn. Toilets and parkings are in amazing good condition and charges are volunteering payments. Amazing place.

Beautiful and relaxing. You can enjoy a walk, picnics or pop into the cafe or restaurant on site. It's a very peaceful and scenic place that attracts families and worshipers.
I stayed here for an event over a weekend. Accomodation is basic but nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities, soaps bedding and towels provided. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

We had our anniversary party there in August after our previous venue cancelled on us a few days before our event. Steve, Julie and the team were incredibly accommodating, and made our event more special by going above and beyond and with such a short time frame to enable us to have an exceptional evening. We could not have done it with out them and the barn looked magical.

I often come to this place with some visitors from abroad. Regardless you are religious or not you have to visit this place is like be trapped in the 1300s ... when I walk around the gardens and see the animals, the pond, the old architecture the flowers, etc gives me peace. This place is located next to the river.
Highly recommend it to spend some sometime here.... shame at the moment the restaurant is closed they sell good food.
If you are driving you can park your car inside the religious grounds.

A lovely place full of medieval charm, surrounded by green and water. It's cosy, has good food and the staff is wonderful. I also loved the guest library. The only two minuses were mostly no en suite rooms (and separate taps in the bath with no shower...) also the WiFi didn't really work. If you don't mind a bit of this monastic austerity, a perfect place to go to.

Wonderfully peaceful retreat for both the religious and non with beautiful grounds, lovely teashop and pottery works. There is also a farmers market on Sundays. Small charge for parking and clean facilities. Worth a short or long visit.
