Papa's Barn Fish & Chips Restaurant & Takeaway

Excellent service by friendly staff. Food was quick to arrive, hot and well cooked. Plenty of choice too.
Given it was early Monday evening it was still busy with people eating inside as well as the takeaway counter which is a reliable indicator of how good it is.

I've driven past on many occasions over the years and never had time to stop. I finally went with a friend and was a little worried I might be disappointed. Not a bit of it! Nothing compares to my experience here. The place is nice, the service impeccable and the cod and chips with mushy peas was out of this world. The batter was crispy, the fish was flaky. I've eaten in many places and nothing compares to what I had here. I live 30 minutes away but would make the trip again just to eat here. PERFECT.

Have driven past Papa's Barn several times whilst working. Eventually managed to visit on 28/12/23 for lunch. We had a table for 3 and the service was excellent by all the servers. Friendly and attentive. The restaurant was busy and had a lovely atmosphere. The food came out piping hot and was very nice indeed. Yes you wait a little while for your food to arrive but that is because each order is freshly cooked. The cod was cooked to perfection and the batter was crispy but not oily. Thank Papa's Barn for not disappointing. We shall definitely visit again.

Food amazing! Definitely recommend it. We have sat in restaurant to eat and tonight got a takeaway, both excellent service and quality food. What I liked was we visited just before they closed (we thought they closed later), they were friendly and happy to make us fresh food. Very reasonably priced as well especially for the high quality food.

Fish Cod and chips, with mashed peas, grilled mushroom - amazing and fabulous - every time I visit.

I have been a regular visitor here whenever I visit the UK on business trips.
Simply love the authentic taste!! Nothing changed after all the turbulence of the pandemic saga in 2020! Keep it up

As regular customers to Papa's Barn Restaurant, we always receive a warm welcome from the staff. We never have a problem finding a table
Tea or coffee is made exactly to taste
Our order is quickly taken and served up by the staff
The food is always appetising and delicious.
Portions are generous and the food is reasonably price.
The restaurant and toilets are spotlessly clean we highly recommend this restaurant which is easy to find on the main road in Ditton Kent and also has a large car park.
They also provide a useful takeaway service

6 of us visited yesterday. 3 all day breakfasts and 3 cod goijons. The food was amazing. There was plenty and all was cooked to perfection and well presented. The service was wonderful and the place was spotless. We will be in again. Thankyou.

Dined in, lovely fresh fish and chips, good service and clean. Only negative really is that personally, I feel the tables were a little close together. However that will not stop us going again. 10/10

Had my Granddaughter to stay and she loves her Fish and chips so what better place to take her. She had one of the small plate meals which was just the right size for her. Beautifully cooked. After she had ice cream with sauce and sprinkles. My partner had a large cod and chips and he had an enormous slice of fudge cake for dessert. The service is lovely, the girls are all helpful, polite and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend going here for lunch or dinner.

Really enjoyed lunch here, I'm gluten free so I ordered the grilled haddock and it was delicious, very impressed, will definitely go back. Staff were lovely and a lot of choice

I was pleasantly surprised by the attention and care of my dietary needs as a Muslim at Papa's Barn.
It is very hard to find establishments nowadays who will go out of their way to cater for special requirements.

The food at Papa's Barn is very fresh, the chips and batter very crisp, light batter that doesn't soak your plate with oil!!

They only serve line caught fish and it is very tasty.
They also can grill your fish if you prefer it done that way.

My family had a great Mother's day lunch, superb service, fantastic setting and location.

The best Fish and Chips by a longshot.
