Williamson Park

It's a marvelous park and provides a nice landscape for everyone. The Forest trails caters for the climbers, the children's park caters for the kids and the vast greens caters for spending quality time with families doing picnic and stuff. And if you don't want to do anything just see the view from the Aston Memorial it's amazingly beautiful.

Lovely park with great views. Path winds through the trees, so it has easy access for pushchairs and wheelchair users, though can be hilly. Has paid parking onsite or very limited street parking. The park has a gated entrance and opening times differer depending on the season.
The park has children's play areas, cafe, and mini animal zoo with butterfly House. To enter the mini zoo costs £4per person, perfect place for families as you can easy get around it if you have limited time, 40 minutes is doable.

One of the last walks I went on with my sister♥ We had a great day here. The little animal park was wonderful and they have some cuties. Lovely walk round the park, especially on a clear day.

Really nice place for a walk, dog walk or a pram push. Well maintained with wide paths, cafe, small zoo and a butterfly house.

Such a beautiful park with lots to do. The view from the top is incredible and the walk up the many steps of the Ashton memorial is well worth it.
There is a cafe and butterfly house to the rear of the memorial and there are several sets of swings/play areas throughout the park.
The adjoining woodland and lakes are also great to walk through and we enjoyed our visit, even though it was raining.
A stunning place.

Went for the Christmas wonderland weekend and was great. A really nice space with some nice buildings and different things to do. Like visit the wildlife or the cafe. Looks to be popular with dog walkers.

Great day out for a walk with family and dogs. Never went in the butterfly house, but will next time we go. Stopped off for coffee and tea. The ducks on the pond are a most to see and hear.

Passed this do many times going up and down the motorway or from the Priory in Lancaster and finally got to visit. Definitely worthwhile.

The site is on a hill, but there are Disabled Car Park Spaces at the top (may be closed for Weddings, so check), and in the lower car park.

Nature on the city's doorstep. Come for a restorative walk and cup of Lancaster tea in the café. It's a lovely place to visit in any season. Views from Ashton memorial are stunning.

Beautiful (and free) park with lots of woodland walks. We went early and it was peaceful and ready to explore with a 5-year-old. After 90mins we purchased a slush and some crisps and enjoyed looking out at the beautiful Morecambe Bay view

Just great! It was a sunny lovely morning.
The park is very well mantained and clean! You can walk your dog, take your childrens to the playground, have a picnic and even do exercise, all with a great view of the city!!

Went to watch Around tge World in 80 days. Fantastic show, great park and excellent parking. Great onside cafe too.

Beautiful place to spend the day. Lovely walking trails. Parks for children to play in. Plenty of open space to play games or have a picnic. Picnic benches. It has the Ashton memorial, butterfly house and mini zoo. There is a cafe and gift shop. There are often events held here including plays in the park and the highest point festival. Good place to walk dogs. The views of Lancaster and Morecambe from there are incredible.

Lovely park to walk around and explore. The mini animal section and butterfly house were a hit with the kids. We had some lunch in the cafe which was very reasonably priced and the food was lovely.

Gorgeous place to Visit. One of a Kind. Lovely Park and Grounds and lovely 🦋 Butterly House and Animal Sanctuary at the top for a small price. Definatly worth it!

Not at all what I expected when we stopped to see the butterfly house. Amazing and well sized park hidden away from the busy city.

Not your typical flat park, it's very gorgeous and has a lot to offer. A beautiful view of morecombe, seaside and the mountains. Cafe, mini zoo and beautiful Ashton hall (only when its open which sadly is rarely the case). If visiting lancaster definitely visit, it might be slightly out of the way of main city centre, but its a big part of city and on the way to the park you can check out lancaster canal!

Beautiful gardens to walk around with our dog. Tea room and toilets also available although we didn't use them. Had a look inside the memorial and enjoyed the views over to Morecombe Bay.

Great Park with an interesting bit of history in the memorial building that stands proudly above Lancaster. A butterfly house. A mini zoo! Two great children's play areas. Lots of lovely forest walks and open spaces too! Oh a great cafe serving good food!
