D-Day 75 Garden - Le Jardin du Souvenir

Probably the most moving memorial along the landing beaches. The stone statue of Bill Pendell MM looking at the actions of his younger self is simply haunting. It truly is a monument to both the remaining living vetarans and the comrades they left behind. It is brilliantly done and this is a 'must visit' site for anyone doing a D-Day tour. Amazing!

This memorial pays tribute to the veterans of the Battle of Normandy.

Superbe lieu de mémoire, les sculptures sont magnifiques et rendent hommage a nos libérateurs. Bravo aux artistes pour ces œuvres. La statue en pierre est elle aussi impressionnante.vue sur Arromanches et le port. Je conseil de s arrêter ds ce lieu.

Interessanter Gedenkpark. Angrenzend ein großer Parkplatz mit separatem Bereich für Wohnmobile. Mit direktem Blick auf den Atlantik. ( von der ersten Reihe)

Credo sia il memoriale più toccante che ci sia in tutta la Normandia...
Il reduce che guarda sè stesso e i suoi commilitoni, in un passato che inizia a sbiadire, a perdere letteralmente i pezzi e si affida al ricordo e alla memoria di tutti quanti noi.
