Nearly 2 years traveling in Spain. This is perhaps the best food, service, and atmosphere of all. The chuletón was amazing. The sepia salad exceptionally marvelous. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is right on the beach. Nothing is better than this.

A young enthusiastic and helpful owner. Delicious food. And nice blankets..a lovely touch on a cool spring evening. We watched the sunset as we ate a selection of meat, fish and pasta dishes washed down with a yummy red wine. The mini cheese calzone starter was a big hit. Thoroughly delicious and highly recommended.

It’s nice that there is Polish cuisine in Spain. I recommend dumplings

Absolute top notch restaurant! Me and my family discovered the owners at their first restaurant when we went to Calpe quite a few years ago and loved it so much then! We came back this year and hunted them down again to discover they reopened and relocated but are still as good as ever! Their food is perfection, the owners are so kind and will make time for a chat even when run off their feet. The fact the owner speaks various languages is so helpful to all tourists and locals.
I did chuckle when the owner said his salads were the best around but boy was he right, he’s right to toot his own horn!
Me personally, I love the little sweets that are given in the chests with the bill at the end, it’s the tiny detail that made me realise it was the same place all these years later, still want to know where to get my hands on some 😂

Pleasantly surprised during a first time visit. We had an extensive lunch accompanied by some nice wine. All of good quality and delivered by the friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

I’ve been traveling to Calpe for more than 10 years. I believe i have visited most of the restaurant i the meantime. But this one is one of the most beatiful in Calp. First of all due to food - taste and quality - excepional - don’t know why not awarded by Michelin star (imho much better food than Michelin awarded restaurant). Second - sea view, frontline with direct view for Ifach as well. Amazing. The last but not least - atmosphere - if you want to find yourself like at home not like i restaurant - you have to visit them. Familiy and friendsip atmosphere inside guaranteed!

Having eaten at various top notch places around the world including those with a Michelin stars in the UK - this is one incredible restaurant.

Fabulous food and John and his wife are excellent hosts. Been coming to Cafe Playa for a few years now although we live in Santa Pola whenever we visit Calpe which we do often we never miss a meal at your restaurant. Delicious menu and salads to die for do not know what their salad dressing is made of but it’s the best! We are due to visit a Calpe in November and can’t wait to have another meal there.

Never been to Calp before so I decided to have lunch here based off the reviews in Google. It did not disappoint. The menu has so many options on it and all for great prices. The food was fantastic, I highly recommend the baked Goats cheese, it was delicious. The staff were lovely, so friendly, great service and multilingual.

This restaurant is a breath of fresh air and an unexpected treat right on the promenade in Calpe, with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean and I’fach. The food and hospitality outstanding. The menu is varied, featuring German cuisine. The salads are something special. I’m not sure what goes into the house dressing, but it’s addictive. There is a delightful couple that own and operate the restaurant and serve as hosts, while performing all the other duties behind the scenes. We’ve visited Calpe twice this year and Cafe Playa has become our favorite restaurant for lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable; the place is clean; and the staff treat you like family.

We had a family lunch there today. The food was perfect but the best part today was the service.

We were served by an extremely polite young man that spoke Spanish, German, English, Polish and even some Dutch too.

Also the ladies were very polite and the smile on all their faces just made the diference. Best service so far in this area.

Amazing Staff Here. Very Friendly and seem to enjoy their job. The staff members are really nice and have amazing recommendations on what to order. We were one of the last people to order food and it was ready really quick and the food was amazing for the price of it.

The German Food & Beers taste amazing and actually make you feel like you are in Germany with the efficient staff and friendly staff you would think you were in Germany until you hear the sea in front of you! 😉

If you are in the area DEFINITELY come here to eat. I 100% Recommend this place as it was an amazing experience. I will definitely visit again if I am in the area

Wish we had tried Cafe Playa earlier in our holiday and not the day before we left. This is now my favourite restaurant in Calpe. The cheese bread to start was incredible and the Playa Grill is the best mixed grill I have ever eaten. Every piece of meat was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Service was also fantastic. Can't wait to go back.
