Gran Hotel Sol y Mar

This is the best hotel in Calpe. The staff are very helpful, breakfast is very good with a vast selection from toast to a full blown meal. The rooms are amazing and clean. The beach club has a bar, infinity pool, loungers and towels.

The Gran Hotel Sol Y Mar is visually impressive with its black glass external balconies that look more like the decks of a superyacht than your typical hotel. The reception area is stunning, with nice trendy décor and not forgetting the ‘Unusual’ touches like the various coloured Vondom head planters! The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful on every level.

The 360 bar is a great good looking bar, well stocked with large windows to enjoy the Arenal-Bol beach views and Ifach rock whilst you chill with a drink.

There was a choice of breakfast areas, the main food gallery and a small terrace for breakfast al fresco on the lower floor. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection, from hot traditional and a good continental selection. There are good coffee machines and cava if you feel like an early Mimosa! Zeema on the food gallery was welcoming to us, friendly, informative and always had a smile with a GSOH.

Since our stay at the Gran Sol Y Mar we have holidayed twice in the canaries but each time couldn’t help but thinking..wish we were back at the Gran Sol Y Mar..

The best hotel I've ever been to, not only because it has nice views to the beach, but the room is clean and it came with free champagne and drinks!

The service we reserved in every part of the hotel was outstanding, I do not have any bad comments.

If you are or are not staying at this hotel, whenever you are in Calpe, I really suggest you take the chance and have the dinner and breakfast buffet. The price is 33€/person, drinks are not included. It's not expensive at all since the quality of the food is flawless.

Top class hotel. Real attention to detail. Beautiful room. 24 hour reception. Outstanding breakfast buffet producing omelettes to you specification while you wait and watch. Same quality for evening dinner.
Private pool and gym. Great bar area serving fabulous cocktails. One night had a singing duo that were excellent.
Plenty of different nationalities staying as guests for a good mix of clientele.
Top quality own Supermarket in the building outside.
Hotel staff were friendly and professional and could speak different languages.

We had a lovely week at the Gran Hotel Sol y mar. The room was lovely with a great sea view. Could relax with a coffee or drink or the balcony. The food was amazing. Plenty of choice. The staff were brill. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. Centrally located with plenty of shops and restaurants all around. Nice walks along the sea front. The pool and bar are amazing. Thanks to everyone.

Absolutely fantastic hotel minutes walk from the beach. Food,service, also fantastic atmosphere. Went meet our friends there from England. Then decided go back for Christmas just so delightful.

We stayed here in July for our Honeymoon. Absolutely an amazing experience and hotel. Pool is beautiful and the staff were lovely. Breakfast is fantastic, so many choices . A special thanks to Sabina on reception who was extremely helpful every morning, providing information on trips, restaurants and sorted our minor room issue within the hour. We felt really special and would highly recommend this hotel.

STAYED FOR 5 NIGHTS IN OCTOBER. TOP CLASS HOTEL CANT FAULT IT STAFF WERE GREAT CLEANING STAFF WERE GREAT. ROOMS WERE EXCELLENT AND FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. WOULDN’T HESITATE TO STAY THERE AGAIN.

I want to say wat here the best place for adults. We are satisfied, but attention with present, maybe coming payment later.

Very nice hotel, great service if you arrive at 10:30 and your room is available at 1600. they give you access to the pool and you can Use the spa to change or shower.
Breakfast is great and gives a nice view.

Just got back from Sol I Mar Calpe. Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. We were half board and the food was first class. Always something different to choose from. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a balcony but not a sea view but the view from the bar and dining room was enough. Service in the bar was a little slow but it didn't spoil the overall experience. Would highly recommend

Brilliant hotel . My wife's 70th birthday. Hotel put on champagne , birthday cake really helped to make it special. Close to the beach . Fantastic resort . Will definitely be back .

We were so happy with our stay at this hotel. We had a beautiful room facing the ocean. All the staff and workers in the hotel were super friendly and helpful. It is a modern hotel located right on the beach. The buffet meals were incredible and could satisfy all sorts of food restrictions. The dining room has incredible large windows facing the ocean. We had a fantastic time staying at this hotel and would highly recommend it. If we return to Calpe, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We spent a night here in November 2022. What an amazing experience. Loved the design, layout and all the FOOD! Our room booking came with breakfast which is a ginormous, multi-station buffet. We also received a nice upgraded room which was a very spacious suite. The added bonus was that it’s an adult only hotel which meant no crazy kids around. The pool was in the middle of a refurbishment so we didn’t get to check it out. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended and get a sea view!! Looking forward to our next stay in April, 2023. This time for 7 days.

I am on my last day here, I can not recommend this hotel enough, my partner lost his wallet (outside the hotel) on the second day and the staff were so helpful, the cleaning staff were genuinely concerned and the wallet was handed in the next day and they were all so happy for us! The staff are so nice and make you feel welcome, the check in time was only 30 mins for us, you are a 20 second walk away from the beach and lovely places to have drink we have definitely found our yearly holiday here 🤍

Absolutely amazing experience staying here. I came in the off season, and during renovations, but it was still a great time. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the rooms are amazing and well furnished, and the food on offer was varied and delicious.

The location is perfect, with a Supermarket just underneath the hotel, and many other shops in walking distance. The beach is literally a stone's throw away, and there's lots of restaurants real close.

The only slight drawback is that the corridors to the rooms weren't super well lit, but that didn't detract from the experience.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel.
