Great food and super friendly service. It can get really noisy but it is worth it . Local fresh products made into very tasty food

Hidden jewel in Rufaza. If you judge it just by their entrance, it looks like a trade union, full with its pamphlets and propaganda. It's just a very normal restaurant, with a huge back patio.
They have a plenty y choices in their 17€ weekend menu, but the weekly menu is only 11,50€. The quantity and quality are fair enough. If you want to enjoy real Almuerzo Valenciano, you have plenty of local specials, only served until 12:30.

La Cantina is a unique, authentic place with a wide variety of delicious local dishes made on spot, in an open kitchen only from farm-fresh ingredients. we had 2 daily menus, 11 euro for 3 dishes, bread and water included in the price. the service is great, the hosts are really kind. we just hopped in and were lucky enough to get a table, but it is advised to book a table in advance. l highly recommend this place. will go back for an almuerzo for sure

Where should start? That is the best place in Valencia by far!! Wow! All top top quality, fresh, home made, prepared with care. We were amazed by the lunch menu!! I spent 3 months in Ruzafa last year and wish I knew this place! The lettuce for the salad is hand-picked in front of the guests. The best ever carrot cake! Wow! All is rich in flavour, tailored, treated with care. Thanks team for the awesome experience, service and tastes!!

Extremely unique restaurant. The menu is different daily and the ingredients are local and even grown in the garden next to where you sit. All dishes are fresh and delicious! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely become a must eat when here. I had the boar stew and squid burgers.

I think this was my favourite place that I ate at in Valencia. The menu changes every day which is... Insane. It would definitely keep me coming back. The owner(?) Explained to me the concept of the restaurant which I understood to be using local ingredients and cooking traditional Valencian dishes but sometimes with an international twist. For example on my day they were serving anything from miso soup to Greek salad to sardines a la plancha. All the dishes I had were great and for a 9.5€ menu del dia. I left basically stuffed. Incredible stuff. Gracias!

La Cantina is one of those places you wish you had found sooner. Probably one of my favorite places to eat in the city. Food varies between menus; it's tasty and fresh and reasonably priced.

Discovered this lovely place by chance and we were not disappointed! The service is friendly and genuine, the atmosphere calm and relaxing. We enjoyed delicious food and coffees while admiring the garden. We had the brunch and Cafe del temps which are delicious! It was hard to choose from the menu because we wanted to try everything so we will have to be back next time we are in Valencia 😀!

Amazing experience at La Cantina. He explained that the menu changes every day, always Valencian dishes using local ingredients, and it was all so delicious.

We had a white bean salad and a mushroom salad, the chicken and duck confit, and a pina colada (pineapple / coconut cream) dessert.

It was a three course meal for 9€ which is unbelievable value. Would highly recommend!

It is traditional spanish cuisine but not tapas or paella, it is something completely different. Great food, amazing service and ambience.

La Cantina de Ruzafa, wow! Amazing! We went here for Almuerzo after a rough night and this amazing bocadillo saved the day, the price can not be lower than that. Problem with tables, need to book in advance or you will not get a place in.

The menú del día was a great value with several choices that made it difficult to decide. Includes 3 courses, and bread and a carafe of filtered water. 10€

The service was good and everything I had was delicious. The menu changes daily so it should be interesting to return frequently.

I had planned on going there for a bocadillo only to find it was brunch service. Much to my surprise a very tasty brunch indeed. I am not a fan of eggplant, but had a delicious stuffed one with nice crispy potatoes and salad. It was a nice treat!

The food was very good. The staff was very friendly.

What a great restaurant. Food incredibly fresh (chicken falls off the bone, they grow their own vegetables!) and the servers were very nice. Highly recommend.

Probably the best almuerzo experience in Valencia

This feels like a hidden gem that only the locals know about. We stumbled upon it one lunchtime and had the most delicious food. The waiter was very accommodating despite our small amount of Spanish. It has a lovely courtyard at the back and was playing good blues music. Nice chilled vibes and cheap tasty food, try it, you won't be disappointed. 👍

Fresh ingredients, friendly service, delicious food, daily menu change - what's there not to like? The server / manager was especially friendly and helped us understand and translate the menu. Despite it being lunch rush hour! Highly recommend!

If you can get a seat, do it! Fresh veggies from their own garden supplement the day's dishes. We were a party of 4 and every dish was more than delightfull. Through a secret entry, deep down the alley, you find a cosy atmosphere of locals, students and the occasional tourist.

It's a hidden local gem 💎! Food was amazing and the staff was amazing too. They have vegan / vegetarian options available - just ask the staff. Locally sourced veggies and a nice garden 🏡. We'll definitely visit again :)
