Spectacular. One of the best tasting menus we have ever had - if not the best. Recommend one hundred times over for quality and care in the food and service. Opt for the wine pairing - it’s a unique treat on its own!

Montia, run by chef Dani Ochoa, offers a "naturalistic" take on haute cuisine and has had a Michelin star since 2014. They offer two tasting menus: a long one (€100) and an extra long one (€115). The latter adds two tripe dishes, which are delicious and supposedly the best in the Madrid area. Many of the ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced, so the specific dishes change regularly. In our case, there was a strong presence of mushrooms, even in the desserts. Some elaborations felt more refined than usual for a one-star restaurant, which may suggest they're going for the second star. My favorites were the deconstructed egg with a champignon demi-glaze and trout roe as well as the beetroot dessert with crunchy kale. The interior is beautiful and excudes a rustic charm, with clay walls and lots of wood, a chimney in the interior dining room and two massive trees on the glass-covered terrace, where we had the pleasure to spend the 3+ hours of our lunch. A great experience.

Fantastic fine dining restaurant serving a tasting menu based on local products and natural wines pairing . Held one michelin start before the closure in 2021 due to a fire in the previous location. Distinction that for sure will recover shortly.

Absolute perfection. Montia could not be a better experience, utter perfection. Every single person we interacted with was amazing, and the chef even fixed a special vegetarian meal for me, which was awesome. We loved every single dish we had. This is truly worth the trek from Madrid just for this experience. Also, the wine pairing is a MUST (sommelier could not have been any nicer, he indugled my need to take photos of every wine we drank)! Every dish is handled with such care, it's a pure joy to indulge in a restaurant where you can taste and see the creative genius and feel the passion for food.

Absolutely first class and super friendly service. Absolutely beautiful food. Set menus with lots of little courses with different tidbits which is wonderful. Taste could be a little punchier. The cheeses are amazing ! Superb artisanal wines, vermuth etc. Lovely setting. Highly recommended after visiting Escorial

What can I say about this place... Everything is just delicious. For this price there's no way you can get anything better. Sure it'll go up in the next months... Go visit as soon as you can!

Amazing food that changes according to the season - great value for money. My only slight complaint is that they don't have a wine menu, so if you don't get the wine pairing the somelier helps you chose. I would rather see prices and descriptions before making a choice. Other than that service impeccable and food amazing. Sinply one of the best restaurants in Madrid region.

Excellent place. Rare case when Michelin star restaurant is also so casual, friendly. The food is also like that, straightforward, honest and top quality. Staff was amazing. All of them: including chief, sommelier and service staff. We had definitely one of the best experiences there. Highly recommended !

It was a privilege to have come here. The food is SPECTACULAR along with the personal description of the plates by the chefs. Loved the way they used local ingredients from the Sierra to enhance the dishes. The bread was fantastic as well as the service.
