This place was much better than what we thought it was going to be. Our plan was to just do early door rush at 10 am and leave by noon, but we ended up staying for several hours. Starting with the amazing outlook of Barcelona outside, this museum packed 5 sections of amazing artwork. If you really want to view everything carefully you probably need 6 hours or so. When we showed up at 10 am there were no people here for a while. Come early!

Not only do you get to view great art inside, but the view outside is fantastic. Even better than all of these is getting there—hiking the stairs past the fountain, courtyard, cafe is one of the best treats of Barcelona.

I love the 180 city view and the arhitecture.
May be a bit too crowded late afternoon.
Museum is open until 6pm.

Absolutely stunning art and collection. So many eras to see and marvel upon, tourists are respectful and quiet and it's not super crowded so you can explore at your own pace and in peace.
There are spots in which you can listen to things through headsets or download the guide prior to sightseeing as well as - braille descriptions - which was the biggest surprise of all.
I really liked it here, tickets are also valid for the entire month AND you can enter twice if you want to split the visit into two.

Beautiful building with an impressive collection. My favourite were the roman art and modernism collections. The building itself is a work of art and I really loved the rooftop mirador which was a complete surprise. Beautiful view with very few people around.

This museum is fantastic, and it's not just the exhibits but the building architecture. It is beautiful inside and out and a great place to take pictures. I walked to the museum, which was mostly uphill. There are escalators, so it's not a difficult walk. There is a huge parking lot if you drive. There is a small entrance fee. I had no problem getting in. On my visit, there was a special exhibition, modern art, medival art, romanesque, Gothic, and baroque art. I enjoyed it all. There were works by Tintorreta, Picasso, Dali, Miro, and more. There was an amazing section on Gaudi. A lot of fantastic work, including films, sculpture, paintings, etc.

There is a wonderful cafe in the museum, I had lunch there. I spent 5 hours in the museum because it was very interesting to me.

Recommend buying your tickets in advance directly from the museum's website. The museum itself is beautiful. Sort of reminds me of buildings in Washington DC. Plenty of parking as well as easy access for public transportation. You will also find escalators around the area.

If you are looking for something monumental, worth your time and you have at least half a day - visit it. It takes a lot more time because you really have a lot to enjoy... at least run through it, it's fascinating.

Must visit in Barcelona due to its unique collection of Romanesque art. The building is impressive and hosts several other beautiful collections, but Romanesque art of XXI-XXIII centuries is something you can't find anywhere else.

Beautiful museum with great historical artifacts and art. There are some iconic works. The Articket BCN makes it a bargain when combined with Picasso and Miro. The one criticism is the lighting puts a shine on the top of the paintings that made some of them hard to see.

This cultural gem, housed in the Palau Nacional atop Montjuïc Hill, is a treasure trove of Catalan art spanning from the Romanesque period to the mid-20th century. The museum's architectural grandeur, with its iconic domes and expansive courtyards, adds an extra layer of splendor to the visit. The panoramic views of Barcelona from the terrace are awe-inspiring, providing a breathtaking backdrop to the artistic journey within. The vast and diverse collection includes impressive works of painting, sculpture, decorative arts, and photography. The Romanesque frescoes are particularly captivating, offering a glimpse into Catalonia's medieval artistic heritage. MNAC's commitment to showcasing the evolution of Catalan art provides a comprehensive and enriching experience for art enthusiasts.

This is one of the few places to go in which I didn’t feel like I was being ripped off, there is a charge but well worth the visit, not only was the exhibits really interesting but the building itself self is amazing. You can relax afterwards on the veranda and soak in the amazing views of Barcelona

Amazing construction in a wonderful and green landscape from the top of the hill, view is also amazing. Of course, it is not a very old construction since it was built in 1929 for the international exhibition. To get to the top you need a lot of steps, but here I was impressed, as it has on the right side as you can see, escalators that save you a lot of climbing. We visited it on a Saturday evening and it was indeed very crowded, as there was also a celebration where many young people were dancing to Latin rhythms. Besides all that the museum had a very nice christian religion exhibition, I think was the biggest one I have ever seen.

We didn't manage to squeeze in time to enjoy the exhibits inside on this occasion but the views and surroundings of the museum is fantastic to take in. Very walkable and there's even escalators at certain stretches. There's busking right at the entrance where you can enjoy music too.

Went on a trip for a training and there's so much to see here from different eras. Also, the terrace on top is amazing. So if u love art and have a few hours, you should definitely visit this place.

Amazing building. We arrived at 12:30 and had lunch at the cafe (the hall it is in is spectacular, the sandwich average). Then we saw the collection. All of the pieces are from artists either from catalunya or lives and worked here.
