We stumbled across this magnificent monument and whole area. There was lots to see and admire, with architecture and fine buildings all around.

The entertainment from buskers and performers was mostly welcomed and enjoyed, both at the Arco and around the whole area.

I would recommend a visit to this area to take in the atmosphere of Barcelona.

Quite large and super busy. We came across this area as we were walking around town. It is absolutely gorgeous and impressive.

A bike group came through shortly after we arrived, with police escort. I don't know if it was a charity ride? Also nearby the arch are people selling wares on sheets. They quickly picked up all for corners and scrambled away when the police came. Further down were many entertainers of music, large bubbles, "quiet" zumba (headphones like the quiet raves). The entire area was a great place to gather and enjoy some time at.

This triumphal arch is beautiful and is close to the zoo and the Parc de la Ciutadella park. Personally, I think he’s more beautiful at night at home from lighting. You contrast exaggerating him more prominently. However, if you come during the day, extend the tour to the other surrounding areas. It’s going to be beautiful.

It is located exactly in the heart of Barcelona. Easy to reach out from public transport, for example is on the red line with the same station name and we you get out from metro is in front of you wherever you get out. Extraordinary made, having Spanish decorations and fingerprint.

Beautiful promenade especially on a crisp sunny morning 🌞 always street performers of different types around. I love running or biking here day or evening into ciudella and have done several official races that pass through. Can get sketchy later in the night tho. I have never been up the arc but during the architecture event there was a line all the way down to the park to enter.

Take your phone, take it in, but take your time. 😊

During this trip to Europe, I had the opportunity to visit El Arco de Triunfo in Barcelona and the Arco de Triunfo in Paris. I liked more the one in Barcelona. The color of the bricks and the overall aspect, the surrounding area and the design had a bigger impact on the gauge of my "awesometer" 😅. Barcelona is a beautiful city. Worthy of visiting, big time!
Bonus: Don't leave Barcelona without dropping by "La Boquería". 😉

It is a very nice square and architecture. If you visit when the sun shines and the colors are vivid, you can take great pictures. We also recommend spending time at the bar across the street with a beer or sangria. There is not much shade, so be careful of the heat on a very sunny day.

Very beautiful structure! It was one of the first things we saw when we got out of the train station, and it's a marvel to see - very big and grand! There's not much to do other than just marvel at the beauty of it, and it's located in the nice park area. Great to take some pictures of and pass by! And it's free to see.

The Arc de Triomf is a memorial arch in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was built by architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair. The arch crosses over the wide central promenade of the Passeig de Lluís Companys, leading to the Ciutadella Park that now occupies the site of the world fair. It is located at the northern end of the promenade, facing the Passeig de Sant Joan. The arch is built in reddish brickwork in the Neo-Mudéjar style. The front frieze contains the stone sculpture Barcelona rep les nacions (Catalan for "Barcelona welcomes the nations") by Josep Reynés. The opposite frieze contains a stone carving entitled Recompensa ("Recompense"), a work from Josep Llimona's earliest period, representing the granting of awards to the participants in the World Exposition. The friezes along the sides of the arch include allegories of agriculture and industry by Antoni Vilanova and of trade and art by Torquat Tassó. The two pillars of the arch feature bats carved in stone, which were the emblem of King Jaume I, who ruled over a period of prosperity in Barcelona.

Triumphal arch made with incredible attention to detail. Its height is also impressive, located in the middle of the avenue on the sides of which are palm trees. The avenue leads to Parc De La Ciutadella.
