This was amazing! I came as the first person of the day to view the house. I had it all empty and for myself!!! What a feeling! It's completely different from the other Gaudi's houses. Knowing that it was his first house which he designed in his early thirties proves his amazing talent.
I really liked the tiles with the marigolds motif as a reminder of the old garden where the house was built and they had to be removed....
I loved everything there! The exterior, interior, the roof and the modest garden. The staff was very nice and helpful. Fantastic experience!

Such a beautiful building inside and out. Very easy to get to - it was just a 5 minute walk from Fontana metro.
We noticed there was a cute coffee shop in the garden area too.
They had lockers for your bags which you needed a € coin for - really handy so you don't have to carry all your belongings around.
There was a QR code which led you to an audio guide of the building via your phone. Don't forget your 🎧 to make it more comfortable to listen and walk.

It was a mind blowing experience: not only the property is amazing, but it’s also very well curated 👏🏼
All the information provided were relevant, engaging and at a good level of depth (not too specific nor too shallow). The curation was so good that it helped understand not only the Casa Vicens project, but it shed light also on Gaudi’s future masterpieces.
Consider 1-1.5h to visit it all.

I enjoyed this Gaudi house in Barcelona the most. It was beautiful, interesting and the house still kept the atmosphere. The audio guide was also worth to listen. I truly didn’t want to leave. Beautiful building in and out.

One of our best experiences in Barcelona. If you want to know more about Gaudí and his inspirations or some older works this is the place for you. The house looks stunning and with full of life from outside and inside as well. You can really feel how the family lived there. The sad part is it lost so much territory ocer the years.

Gaudi's first masterpiece. Unconventional ceramic tiles on the exterior of the house. Unique style. It was requested to be on a budget, yet the design is mind-blowing. A bit expensive the entrance fee, but that's not something you will see ever again (unless you see other Gaudi works.

If you admire the work of Gaudi, you should try to see Casa Vicens, the first residence he designed. It seems a little less known and visited than La Perdrera and Casa Battlo, possibly because it is smaller and in a normal residential neighborhood instead of on a grand avenue. But it is beautiful and charming, and the excellent Barcelona bus system makes getting there easy.

Very nice museum! The audio-guides were available in multiple languages and were very easy and fast to use in the smartphone! Lockers and a surveilled storage unit is available for visiting with ease the museum. Accessibility in wheelchair is possible (lift on all the levels, even for the rooftop!)

A fascinating glimpse into Gaudi’s early work and a perfect way to pass a warm autumn afternoon, as I did. The audio guide is excellent and the place is quiet and calm, with just the sound of the fountain to soundtrack your visit. Presumably just as Gaudi intended. Highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour of the house. It added a lot of information that might not be gleaned from simply looking at the house. There are a lot of things hidden in the construction that give a glimpse into the mind of Gaudí and how he went about creating unique spaces. It only takes about an hour and a half for the guided tour, but there is a lot to see and digest. I highly recommend it!

I love Gaudí work. Very stylish and colorful.
La casa Vicens is worth a visit. Not only outside picture.
The entire house is picturesque.

Gorgeous house designed by Antoni Gaudi.
This was the first house he designed in Barcelona and it is extremely unique in comparison to the others, you can see he was experimenting with a variety of decorations within and outside the house.
There are exhibition on each of the floors and access to the roof. The exit is in basement through the shop which is complimented by a kids play area.
There is a cafe at the house although we did not stop there.

Lovely place featuring Gaudi’s work. If you only have time for one of the casa houses, would suggest visiting this one. I went on Friday morning in Nov and it wasn’t that busy. I could take my time and explore each room which was nicer than the busyness of casa batllo and their prices were more reasonable. Their free audioguide was interesting and nicely paired with the tour of the house. Also there’s a cute rooftop with nice views!

Stunning place to visit. First home built by Gaudi but you already knew that. I recommend going early in the day or later in the afternoon and you need about 1-2 hours to get through the home but possibly longer depending on how much you love architecture and design.

Beautiful, beautiful house. I enjoyed the video and the temporary exhibition as well as the typically plant-inspired and exotic design details I visited on a Friday afternoon and there weren't too many other visitors, so very relaxing. I had to put my camera bag in a locker.

This architectural gem, designed by Antoni Gaudí, is a masterpiece that exemplifies his unique style and innovative approach. The vibrant colors and intricate details create a captivating facade that captures the essence of Gaudí's genius. While the cost of entry may deter some, the sheer beauty of this landmark contributes to Barcelona's cultural richness and architectural legacy.

Unmissable. A celebration of vivid colour and light. There is a huge influence from Islamic art here, the young Gaudi pored for hours over the first enchanting photos coming from Egypt and the Middle East. A little corner of Alhambra in Gracia, Barcelona.

Gaudí's first house impresses with its colorful facades and eclectic style. It is located away from the main street. It impresses with colors and architecture.

Definitely worth visiting 😍 incredible work of art by Gaudi, how everything is done with so much talent, love, creativity and passion, how every detail is completing another detail, it’s amazing 🤩
P.S.: You can’t use selfie sticks or tripods, so if you’re a solo traveler you have to ask someone to take some pictures of you (for the memories) if you want.

Lovely place to visit and not super crowded, a 1-2hr stop if you’re visiting Barcelona and great places to get a taste of some of Gaudi’s earlier work. They have tours in various languages and a little cafe, gift store, and museum gallery hosting temporary exhibitions.
