HUME Russafa

We went here for a quick lunch about half an hour before their lunch closing time and they were very accommodating. Also when I said I’m vegan, they made the rice without egg. The dumplings were a lot and delicious. As well as the sauce that came with it. The fried rice was also good but a bit oily. For these 2 dishes and 1 Nestea we only paid €12.

Really enjoyed a quick and inexpensive authentic Chinese meal here. I personally appreciate restaurants like Hume for NOT having a long and extensive menu to go over. Hume clearly went for listing a small selection of items that they make swiftly and very well. For me that just means a smooth and satisfying ordering experience!

Amazing food and amazing location! The staff were so friendly, they cared about every detail and provided a great service. Me and my partner shared a vegan wok and vegan noodles and they certainly didn’t disappoint at all. I’d say that those were the tastiest plates that I’ve tried so far and I’ll definitely come back again before I leave the city! So glad that more restaurants are including vegan options in their menus :)

Hume is for you if you need refuelling without rules at any time of the day or night. You want a tostada at 7pm? No problem. A burger at 8am? You got it. Authentic Chinese food at midday? Sure. Unlike the swish or hipster joints in the barrio, Hume is a straightforward friendly bar where everyone is welcome. We rocked up at 9pm and within 10 minutes, we had an array of tapas-style Chinese food alongside Spanish wine, followed by a Chinese dessert of stuffed rice balls and then chuppitos. All delicious. Owners Vincente & his lady, the eponymous Hume ("huu-may") are working all hours to serve the market staff, locals and tourists alike. Posters showed the bar hosts English coffee&chat meet-ups and exhibitions. Hume is set to be a very good addition to the already overcrowded bar/cafe/restaurant scene in Ruzafa.

Loved the spinach rolls and tofu! The strawberry jam worked really well with the fried chicken and dumplings.

The best hidden gem in Russafa. Fantastic food, fair prices and one of the best customer experience in town! Absolutely recommend.
