Hotel Catalonia Catedral

We had a wonderful experience at the boutique Hotel Catalonia Catedral in Barcelona. Despite being surrounded by shops and restaurants, the hotel is located far enough from the main street to provide a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff and concierge provided top-notch service, and the spacious room was clean and tidy. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping everything clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep.

The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of freshly cooked hot dishes, fresh fruits, and salads every morning, although the selection was smaller compared to similar hotels. In the later hours of the day, the same place also functions as a restaurant and tapas bar, which was a nice touch.

The hotel facilities were well-maintained, including the elevators, swimming pool on the top floor, and everything else.

We thank the entire Hotel Catalonia Catedral staff for making our stay comfortable and memorable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a vacation in Barcelona soon.

Upon arriving, Davide took excellent care of us, escorting us and our bags to our room, explaining the necessary information regarding the hotel along the way. The staff were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The housecleaning staff were fantastic, even offering turn down service one evening even though we didn't request it!

Wonderful hotel, centrally located but quiet! Tino made me several excellent sangria cocktails and the front desk were extremely helpful in assisting with taxis and directions as needed. 100 recommend for you stay in beautiful Barcelona! 💙

This is the perfect hotel! No other will compare in quality. The rooms are clean, the food is great, and the most important thing is that the staff is amazing! They are very professional and kind. I have never met that kind of staff in my life. They have the best bartender in the world, Tino, who made me the best cocktail I've had in a long time. Thanks for your service, and I surely will come back.

The hotel is in the old section of the city of Barcelona known as the Gothic area. The hotel is small, but well appointed with a very efficient staff. They were very gracious when we arrived and has helped us every time we have asked for it. We ate tonight at the ascent hotel restaurant. Tino and Jose were efficient at their tasks in providing dinner, which was tasty and generous. Would recommend this hotel.

We spent a week at this hotel. The hosting was excellent, especially from the front desk manager Mr. David Escuder Martinez (he should be the hotel manager, he's that amazing!), and his assistant Mr. Hani. Anything we asked or requested was done efficiently with a smile. If this is the face of the hotel, the hotel is lucky as we know how hard it is to find employees who are top notch. The rest of the hotel staff, and hotel restaurant staff were also really wonderful. The room was given a three star because of the noise from the outside neighbour. Maybe the hotel needs to invest in better sound proofing windows. All in all, we would highly recommend staying here.

Quite pleased with this hotel overall, especially the staff. The location is outstanding, right in the heart of the action, close enough to Ramblas, shops, restaurants, and other sights to make it easy, without feeling too crowded or noisy. The front desk and restaurant team offered plenty of help and made it easy to check in. The room was clean, well appointed, and the internet and TV worked great.

Erraine and the rest of the team were fabulous. I contacted the hotel to arrange a special surprise for our anniversary and Erraine pulled out all the stops. I had asked for a special request but she went beyond this. I can't thank her enough for looking after us ahead of our visit and will definitely stay with you again.

I recently visited between the 11.2.24 -14.2.24, with my Son, we had a wonderful stay at your hotel, the hotel was lovely, we were spoilt with the amazing superior room with a wonderful terrace and hot tub pool. staff were so friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel is a great for all the sight seeing, good access to public transport within 5 min walk, or even bike rentals located just round the corner. This is my favorite hotel in Barcelona. The only place to stay when I come to Barcelona. It's in the perfect location in central Barcelona, and rather quiet compare the nearby noisy Las Ramblas. The rooms are clean, and the service staffs are very friendly and the breakfast has a good selections.
There are many good restaurants near by, but as a solo traveler when I don't feel like going out, I eat in the hotel restaurant. It's not crowded but they have a very reasonably priced fixed menu of 5 tapas which are surprisingly delicious. And Nico, the waiter is very pleasant and gives excellent service.

Just visited Barcelona and stayed at this property. It was just perfect for us. Great location, beautiful decorated rooms and a wonderful buffet breakfast. Kudos to its Reception Manager, David, a very helpful and professional staff. Next time in Barcelona this will be my hotel!

Wonderful hotel not far from Las Ramblas and the sea. We walked everywhere from here, including to La Sagrada Familia.

We stayed here for 1 one night before the start of our cruise. We absolutely LOVED this hotel and will return one day. The location is amazing. It's so close to the cathedral. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything you could need. The King bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast room was really nice and food was delicious. I recommend the buffet breakfast! We spent a bit of time on the rooftop pool area and that was a wonderful place to chill and read a book. The best part of this hotel is the service. Everyone is friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel!

Such an amazing hotel!! Right in the heart of the gothic quarter.
The room was fantastic and the service from the hotel was far superior to the W Hotel which we had just come from.
Live music in the square outside and the well placed Cercle restaurant opposite make this a place I can't wait to revisit.

Absolutely LOVED this hotel!!! The staff was amazing. We arrived very early before check in and they did everything to keep us comfortable until our rooms were ready, even got us into the rooms a bit earlier than promised. The breakfast was excellent as well! Location is very good and many things to do within walking distance. I highly recommend asking the staff where to go to eat. One of the staff recommended a restaurant to us and the food was delicious. I plan on staying here again on my next trip. Also the AC works very well in the rooms! Good to know when traveling to Europe! Thank you Catalonia, you made our stay absolutely amazing.

We chose this hotel mainly because of its location - which is really excellent. It is in the Old City (Gothic neighborhood). We were very pleased with our choice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever had at a hotel. The breakfast is fantastic. We accidentally broke a glass in our room and called for help from housekeeping. They were they in minutes and were so helpful and kind. The only thing we didn't like was the TV. The only way we could figure out how to use it was by linking your phone/tablet to it and using it for apps (eg: Netflix). This was cumbersome and had to be done every time you wanted to use the TV. We could find no way to view local television or cable. Aside from this we were very happy with our stay and will stay there again when we return to Barcelona.

The designed was influenced by Vienna Secession, especially in the geometric shape of the crown, while still maintaining the Catalan Modernist elements of colored sgraffito and floral metalwork.

The electric utility company of Barcelona was searching for a location in the center of the city to establish its headquarters. It purchased the site of a candle factory, a poetic reflection of the dimming of the candle age and the adoption of electricity.

The hotel is in a perfect location giving you access to everything within minutes. The rooms were nicely decorated and the ac stayed nice and cold even when the key was not in. The Pool at the bar was incredible pretty much because of Tino and his cocktail making skills, awesome personality and amazing customer service. He makes a yummy sangria that kept us coming back for more. All of the hotel staff was super friendly and helpful and we will go back.

They had a superior triple room and we treated ourselves to a deluxe room with private dip pool and terrace.. it was superb, best room I have ever had.Huge bathroom with bath and a massive separate shower,

Some lovely touches.. our first night with sweets and juice for the kids and cookies/cava for us.
Staff were exceptional, from the lovely porters to reception, to the amazing cocktails bar staff on the roof bar, breakfast staff , housekeeping, they were all friendly and helpful.
We arrived earlier than planned and they accommodated us, sorted a taxi when we left.
Location was perfect to explore the city. We have a new favourite hotel now and plan to return again.
If you are thinking of booking then do not hesitate... the terrace rooms are def worth treating yourself to!
