Stumbled here on our way to Disfrutar. Love this market as it’s not as crowded and touristy. Talked to the local fish monger and got so many tips and information all about seafood. They know their craft! Also had fresh seafood tapas at La Medusa across the fishmonger. I could shop here everyday if I live in this beautiful city.

A great food market that should not be missed. Bursting with an array of fresh produce, local delicacies, and culinary treasures, it offers a feast for the senses. A must-visit destination for food enthusiasts in the city.

I walked past on a Saturday around noon, but wasn't ready to eat. What a mistake! So many options, beautifully presented - seafood, meats, eggs, fruit and vegetables. There was also an event/celebration going in with large manequin/puppets dancing through the market too. Lots of fun!

The market itself is fantastic. Vendors selling great quality food for very fair prices.
We had a very nice tapas lunch. The cost was about €25 for 2 people.

Visited as a part of the Food Lovers Barcelona market tour. Purveyors are kind and welcoming. Insane selection of meats, olives, fruits/veggies, seafood, and ready to eat items. Definitely a great place to visit- and far less crowded than Boqueria.

Super nice food court to do some shopping or to eat there!
The stalls are very specialised ie an egg stall, a chicken stall, a fruit and vegetables stall.
High quality product.

Although I live down the street from the Boqueria, I often take the bus to this market. They have the best pasture-raised meat and fresh vegetables in Barcelona.
They also have the best market restaurants. Leave time for lunch.

A lovely market, wide variety of goods, and a large supermarket in the basement (somewhat ironically).

Wide variety of fresh and prepared foods. Spotlessly clean. All vendors are friendly and knowledgeable. Purchase food there to bring back to hotel or apartment

I would have given 6 stars - amazing meat, good wine and reasonably priced. We’ll go again.

Unfortunately we are at vacation time for the Spanish people and a lot of box closed but the one that we stop to eat some bacalhau(cod fish) was the best and everything else, super clean a must see if you are at Eixample neighborhood.

Old school market some vendors were at “mercat de la Boqueria” before. Very good stuff and great quality too.

Good market not very touristic with a local vibes. But variety is not that good like on Santa Catherina market in Born

Find fresh food in this local market or just walk in and enjoy a totally authentic Barcelonian grocery shopping experience. From fresh fish, to all kinds of meat, cheese and fruits. They just have it all, including side bars and spaces with chairs where you can taste whatever product you feel like while enjoying some drink. The restaurant right at your left if you enter from Carrer de Casanova chops the meat they are going to cook right in front of you, and charges by the weight.
Totally recommended. Just land yourself by Hospital Clinic Metro station (line 5/blue).

Fantastic place to go if you are looking for a market which is more of a local spot than la Bouqeria, which is packed with tourists. This place is not, and gives you a more authentic feel. Although not very big it still has lots of shops selling meat fish and fruit and of course some cafe's where you can both eat breakfast and lunch. Just outside you can find lots of shops selling clothes and these are also less crowded and a very nice place to meet more locals. We had breakfast in a small Cafe with very good food and two very nice ladies serving us. A must if you want a genuine feel of Barcelona.
