We came here for a music festival called “Fargo - Indie is not dead”. The venue is fantastic, as its a old bull ring, the vibe of the place is very different & cool. Something I particularly liked is how there was never a queue for the toilets (often at music festivals this can be a problem) and there was many bars around the venue so we did not have to queue a lot. The only downside was the bar drinks, the mixers (combinados) are out of bottles so often they tasted flat & like water - for the price of a combinado (10 Euro) it would be nice to have a fizzy drink!

I have never been before in the bullfighting area. The space is super interesting, you can see not only the arena but also the inner spaces where bulls & horses were being taken care of. There is also a museum with toreadors' suits, bulls' heads, posters etc. Very interesting!

We were waiting to go inside the Sagrada Familia and we so it on the map. At first I thought it will not be so cool but for me it was. I was happy to learn about Spanish culture and to see so many bulls. I was also sad for this but glad it's no longer exist. And also go to see the bull that was forgiven for his bravery. My heart was full when I left. It's an amazing place to learn history. The price is also cheap, especially because maybe it will be your only time in Barcelona and you should see as much as you can. The lady working there was a sweetheart. The toilets, so clean. And the museum so awesome

Visited during our stay in Barcelona and was a real hidden gem. Lovely building stood in time, with lots of old memorabilia and the stadium exactly as it was. Price was affordable to go in and from the outside you would never guess it was a bull fighting ring. Fantastic place and definitely worth a visit if you are in Barcelona.

Despite its brutal past, the building itself is very pretty.

There is a small museum here and you are able to walk around almost all of the building, through the corridors, stands and even some of the back rooms. The entry fee is also very reasonable.

This might not be one of the top sites in Barcelona but I'd definitely recommend visiting if you have time.

Not many knew of this place but it was so interesting to see. Only €6 to enter and you could explore the entire grounds and see where they kept the bulls, how they entered the arena, and walk onto the arena grounds yourself. It was worth the small price for sure.

Very cool to walk around this 100+ year old building. For like €8 it was totally worth it. Saw it from the top of another building and just walked over. Pleasantly surprised

Although it's not in the list of Barcelona's top attractions, I enjoyed the visit the most, it has a history to it and is very beautiful and spooky.

This is probably the best place to see in Barcelona. This is history and if you want to see true Barcelona, you have to visit. Entry is only 6 Euros and worth every cent.

This was extraordinary. You can walk unrestricted throughout. It looks like it just closed yesterday. Staff is very friendly and the gift shop had bullfighting posters for sale and other unique finds. We were pretty much the only ones there. Bathrooms are very clean. It was an authentic Spain experience. There is an entrance fee.

Fabulous insight into Barcelona's bullfighting history. At €6 per person, it's well worth a visit.

La Monumental is very close to our accommodation and we have tried to visit it the previous day but unfortunately it was closed. But today was the day and I wasnt disappointed. The entrance is affordable and although at first I believed it was just the arena, we had the chance to visit the museum as well and a small shop inside the premesis. Interesting experience but in a way sad due to the animal sufferings.

My 10-minute visit to La Monumental de Barcelona was a poignant encounter with a cultural tradition that continues to stir debate and emotions. It offered a brief glimpse into the history, artistry, and ethical dilemmas surrounding bullfighting in Catalonia. While my time within its walls was short, the experience left me with a deeper appreciation for the complexities of cultural heritage and the evolving values that shape our world today. La Monumental de Barcelona, with its storied past, stands as a silent witness to the changing tides of time and tradition in this vibrant region of Spain.

When my wife and I visited Barcelona for the first time in 2013, we also saw the Bullring. Bullfighting was banned in Barcelona three years earlier. However, we were happy to see the arena and the museum, which also has a statue of the great Manolo.
