This was an amazing experience with gorgeous food for all tastes.
Sweet, meat, savoury, fish and probably others I missed.
Quite busy even on a weekday out of season but I would definitely go again!

a pleasant experience when visiting this market. There is a fresh fruit seller with a very attractive display, you have to buy fresh cherries here, they are very delicious. There are chocolate and candy products, meat, various kinds of spices, and of course lots of appetizing ready-to-eat foods. Inside the market there are several interesting places to eat. If you go to Barcelona, you must stop at this place.

This place is a must see. Super lively market with many options! There are many vendors selling the same thing so make sure you check out each booth to see who has the better price and freshest options. Also it was very packed, shoulder to shoulder, so be aware of your surroundings and belongings.

This market dates back quite a few years. It's over 800 (1217) years old.

Wander around and take in all the fresh goods for sale. You can find Meat, Fish, vegetables, nuts and much more. You can buy ready to eat food and drink. Watch them make your fresh fruit smoothie in front of you.

On the Saturday we went it was very busy.

The market had a diverse selection of produce and tapas. It was very enjoyable to walk between each of the stalls and see what the local cuisine entails. We bought a chicken, tomatoes and potatoes Empanada. It was very tasty! I would highly recommend stopping at the market for some tapas and a unique experience.

The market is AMAZING!! Many varieties of food. I love the smoothie. I tried the seafood and carmon and they were lovely. It was such an experience there. I’d love going back there again.

Heaven for us foodies, including us seafood lovers!

We went twice, the first time on a Thursday (February) and it wasn't terribly busy. The same time on Saturday, and the place was packed.

Great if you want to buy food to cook at home, or have a taste of different things, for example oysters. Fewer options if you actually want to sit down for a meal.

what an awesome experience! Loved everything about this place. The variations of different things to buy and eat are tremendous. Everything from fruits to meats to seafood. All available fresh and in an outdoor market experience. I tried so many different things I can't name em all. The service from all the shop owners was friendly and prompt. They are Helpful if you are unsure of what your getting. The location is open air so gives you the feeling of a farmers market. Everyone I went to accepted credit cards so it was very convenient. There are plenty of small restaurants all around the market to sit and enjoy a cold sangria at so make sure you choose one. Overall great place to make part of your trip while in Barcelona.

An old market with a Mediterranean flare. Lots of fruits, meats, and products to select from. There are several restaurants there where you can taste different dishes with your friends and family.

My favorite place in Barcelona! I just love how vibrant the market is! There are so many great options for snack or lunch! The fruits and vegetables are so fresh! I ate fresh fruits and hand the fresh juices from most of the fruit/juice stands!

Fun place to start the day while everything is still fresh. This place brings lots of excitement if you’re a foodie. Fresh produce, delicious snacks/meals, to juicy fruits and smoothies. Best of all, they have rambutans, mangosteens, and so much more!

Large, bustling food market. As a tourist, this was a great attraction to visit. My friend and I purchased 2 fruit juices (2.50€ each), fruit salad (3.50€), and an empanada (4€). Although this market seems pretty touristy, I don’t think most of the prices are too bad. It is very crowded, but service at the stores is not slow at all. The most common stores are for meat, fruit, and candy. Even if you don’t buy anything, it is an interesting site to see.

Amazing place which I have to visit every time I am in Barcelona. Amazing selection and variety of food. Fresh meet and seafood, tapas bars. Big selection of fruits and vegetables. Only thing what is missing are tables or counters where you can enjoy the food which you buy, either you have to look for the place which has bar counters, and they are not really easy to get, or you just stand where ever or walk and eat.

just like any great cities in the world that are renowned for their food, this market for sure serves up to be Barcelona's back kitchen! fresh veg and fruits, jamon, seafood, meat, poultry, and even rare parts of animals can all be easily found here! Will definitely suggest to visit with your stomach empty simply because there are just too many choices from a simple sandwich, fruit cups, fresh juices, to big bites in those bar/restaurants in the market.

Wow. We were taken here as a surprise and it was epic. There is so much produce here, all of it looking beautiful, smelling delightful and readily available to eat in as a strolling tapas or take back to where you live/stay and enjoy later.
If you are remotely interested in food and fresh produce, you will find inspiration and enchantment here. I could have spent a day walking the aisles and looking at everything. Everyone there is happy and helpful too.
In Barcelona and on an open market day or night and enjoy food ? .. this place needs to be on your list.

Yes, I know this is a tourist trap, but I loved it! It is the largest outdoor market I’ve ever been to. So much stimuli and beautiful food. From the meat stands to the fruit stands, to the fish stands, to spice stands, to candy stands and bars for meals, it’s amazing to see. Definitely worth a trip!
