Arabic in Cairo

I am pleased to share my positive experience with Arab Academy. Having started at level A2, I opted for a one-month individual course, attending thrice weekly for four hours each day. The tailored focus on grammar, reading, listening (Arabic news), and dialogues on relevant topics significantly improved my speaking abilities.

The academy's effort in adapting the course content to my needs was noteworthy. The additional online resources provided for practice were invaluable in reinforcing class learning. The friendly atmosphere fostered camaraderie among learners and with instructors, who were all approachable and supportive.

A highlight was the academy's occasional organization of extracurricular activities, like sports, creating opportunities for informal Arabic practice. Overall, I highly recommend Arab Academy to any language learner, given its personalized approach, supportive environment, and diverse learning materials.

I have recently moved to Cairo and emailed asking for a customised 'Survival Egyptian' course. The academy was very fast in getting back to me and offering a tailor-made course that suited my dates and times. I really appreciated their flexibility in accomodating my needs, as otherwise I would have not been able to do the course.
All of the staff, admin and teachers, were really friendly and helpful. No question was too silly!
Their flexibility with the admin flowed into the lessons, and each of the teachers was able to adapt the course to suit my needs on the spot and provided additional resources to suit my needs.
I am looking forward to doing extra courses with the Academy to improve my skills.

I didn't realize that I have missed this place and these teachers at Arab Academy so much until I came back to America. I have only studied Arabic at Arab Academy for one month in Cairo and it has changed my life so much because I feel that I get a new life with a brighter future. I have studied Egyptian Colloquial Arabic for the last ten days in Cairo and I am taking their online course for one month. I am able to communicate with my Egyptian friends in Egyptian Arabic online with fluency. It is such a rewarding experience.

I can say that studying at Arab Academy is the most awesome experience I have ever had. I had four different teachers, four hours of the lessons each day. Five days a week. It was very intensive especially I was the only student in the class. All the teachers are very professional and motivated. They were treating me with warm hearts. They are so nice! I felt like that I got VIP treatment over there.

My online teachers had brought me to different places and invited me to their house and cooked dinner for me and my friend. They have given me such beautiful memories. One of the teachers has invited me to her wedding in September and I can not wait!

Their online course is the best program for learning Arabic. It's one to one lesson. You can choose whenever you want and whomever you want. All of these teachers are professional trained and very nice. I highly recommend Arab Academy to anyone who wants to learn Arabic.

I’ve tried Berlitz in the Gulf, but this is definitely the place to go for learning written Arabic. I originally came for just 3 weeks, but was so impressed by the teachers and student support that I ended up continuing for another month.
Teachers are extremely knowledgeable, qualified, and helpful. The school is run pretty well and accommodating which makes your learning experience more hassle-free, especially considering how chaotic Egypt could be.

Best place to learn arabic in cairo. Teachers and staff are friendly and pro! Also the school does alot to create an enviroment for people to come together. 10/10 would recommend:)

Fantastic experience studying Egyptian Arabic with the professional team at Arab Academy in Cairo. The staff provided detailed information and were very patient during the planning stages, e.g., explaining the various programmes the school offers, and arranging for placement test. The teachers are experienced and encouraging, and make use of interactive activities to keep the lessons interesting. I plan to continue studying with the school for the long term. My friend and I studied here for a week during Ramadan 2022, we loved it so much! The course for Egyptian dialect was thorough and covered many interesting topics. All the teachers immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable, and the only downside is that we could not stay for longer! Thank you Arab Academy!

I studied at Arab Academy for 4 months, and absolutely loved it. The teachers are so lovely, great at what they do, and ensured that every lesson was enjoyable and productive. Everyone was also amazing at listening to feedback, and adapting lesson style / content to suit what best fit the learning requirements of the students. Couldn't recommend more!

Studying at Arab Academy has been a great choice! Starting off with 1 month of عامية "to try the school out" quickly led to booking 3 months extra. The school is super flexible to make a personal class schedule that fits your needs and wishes, the classes itself are conversation-based: ideal for getting around in the Egypt! I have made lovely friends and kind connections with the teachers (who are all Egyptian, a massive improvement in up-to-date vocab in comparison to my classes in my home country). When I come back, I will definitely stop by again!

I studied MSA and the Egyptian dialect with Arab Academy for 4 months and made significant improvements during that time. The teachers are very encouraging and I felt that the school was able to address my language goals to push me to the level I wanted to achieve with Arabic. The classes are built around a course that they use, however, after a few weeks in class we tailored the course to fit my learning needs specifically.

I spent one incredible month at Arab Academy (Sept) and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn/improve their Arabic! Their approach to teaching is highly effective with the way they rotate teachers every hour (vocabulary, listening, reading, speaking.) This way you are exposed to other styles of teaching, patterns of speaking, etc. I have studied other languages before and found this approach to be very beneficial!

I added the Cultural Excursions component to my teaching and so three times/week, I was able to visit famous sites (pyramids, mosques, museums) in Cairo with my teachers. During this time, I developed strong friendships, learned about the Egyptian culture and improved my Arabic simultaneously.

I spent seven magical weeks total in Egypt and felt completely safe as a solo American female traveler. (Don't believe everything the media tells you! :) The Arabic I learned truly helped me throughout my travels in Egypt as I was able to speak with cab drivers, at restaurants, store owners, locals, etc.

Everyone was so warm and welcoming, ready to greet me with a smile everyday. I miss my time in Egypt and with my Arab Academy family. What are you waiting for?? Visit Egypt and learn Arabic in Cairo! :)

Arab Academy is a great school. The teachers are absolutely amazing. They are patient and willing to help their students. My young daughter is currently learning online and we have seen a tremendous growth in her ability to understand and communicate in the Arabic language. The material is very easy to follow and comprehend especially with their repetition model. The assignments are graded after each submission which helps students see their progress as well. It’s a great school with an affordable monthly rate and booking classes online is a breeze. I highly recommend Arab Academy.

I had very pleasant experience studying Arabic with Arab Academy. The course was well-structured and the level was decent with me as I had some experience with Arabic before. Even though I only spent two weeks there, I still learnt a lot. The teachers are very qualified and patient. They always correct me patiently on some of the mistakes that I make over and over again, and they are always happy to answer my questions. I would highly recommend Arab Academy for Arabic learning and I wish to come back soon.

My seven-week study (for both MSA and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic) at Arab Academy was definitely gratifying! I came with the shyness and fear of speaking Arabic and left with the confidence and competence of expressing myself in Arabic. Thanks to the pedagogical skills of my teachers and the positive vibe they brought to the classroom, I found the beauty of Arabic and the enjoyment of using the language.

Besides the fact that I was satisfied with the linguistic knowledge I gained, I also got obsessed with the class discussion on various topics including cultural affiliation, social norms, and medical systems.

In addition, the institute is very well-organized and my communication with the executive staff is always super efficient.

Within these last two weeks, I have improved my Arabic and developed friendships with my teachers. Studying at the Arab Academy was a very good experience. I feel like I made progress even though I was only there for a month. The teachers are friendly and supportive, it is fun learning from them. I also really appreciated the Academy's flexibility in studying schedules.

I just completed a two week course of Colloquial Arabic (private lessons, 3 hours a day). I highly recommend the Academy. My five instructors were friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Their teaching method is conducive to learning. The administration is well-organized. I hope to return in the months ahead.

I have had a fantastic four weeks at the Arab Academy. The teachers are all extremely knowledgeable, friendly - and very importantly for me - patient! I decided to take this intensive course (20 hours a week) after studying with Arab Academy online for a year. The programme is well planned, it covers a variety of very different topics and both the classroom and online learning environments have greatly helped me to improve my level in Arabic. In addition, the school is in a great location and the courses are very well priced. I would wholeheartedly recommend Arab Academy to anyone wanting to learn Classical or Egyptian Arabic.
