Aquarium Grotto Garden

Loved it, a must visit diverse park with numerous activities for kids and adults. Loved the park walk ways, caves, mini aquarium inside the park with fish and crocodiles and turtles. Bridge and water with swans. Good tea coffee place. Sand park for kids to enjoy swings or make sand castles. Very diverse and a must visit spot. Only 20 pound ticket for an adult.

5 stars for the bats!
The caves were beautiful, the bats were amazing. But they shouldn't call it a botanical garden. There were only 2 beautiful big trees and not much flowers either.. there are more plants and trees to find on the streets. And the aquarium was just too dark and dirty to even see any fish. They did have a goose and lots of cats though. But not much of a garden.

It was good .We had a good time and enjoyed it . But there are some local boys who are throwing stones at us. I feel a little bit unsafe.but it was good

Outstanding garden which includes beautiful caves are filled with bats 🦇 but rare died fishes 😂 … you can find much inspirations that will catch your eye.

Best place in Cairo; fake grottos , dead fish on exhibition and lots of friendly bats. Take your girlfriend there and you will become 200% cool to her.

A great and clean place... Worth visiting

Aquarium Grotto Garden is located in Zamalek and was established by Khedive Ismail in the year 1867. More than 145 years later, Khedawy Ismail decided to establish this aquarium.

It had been a place for kings and princes only. In 1902 it opened for the public for the first time, under supervision of the central administration for zoos.

The park contains 49 aquariums of diverse and rare Nile, marine and starfish fish. At the front of the garden, there is a large basin that contains predatory fish such as sharks. There is also a panoramic display section where it displays some mummified fish.

The building that contains the aquariums has a beautiful design style resembling a cave and sunlight reflects in it through the top openings, which give it a beautiful view and atmosphere. I can wander between caves and passages and enjoy the green areas that contain trees specially brought from Madagascar, Australia and Thailand. The ultimate moment of relaxation for me here is when I bring my favorite beverage, and enjoy some reading or coloring between the green areas there. It’s spot also suitable for relaxation and time for yourself.

It´s one of the more or less quite and green places in Cairo. In addition, the flea market that always takes place there is very cool.

We attended an event here, so didn't get to see too much of the garden. However, was we did see was beautiful! The vine trees are amazing, and a really special place for kids of all ages and families.

It's wonderful experience for me as I really like each and every thing in the place 👍👍

I love this place. I went to it on the Flea Market event and it was really cozy, lit with pretty christmas-yy lights and there was a live show and beautiful goodies! It holds great events and just the place itself is so pretty and cheap!

It's a nice place to have fun with your family, fees there 20per person and 500 if you want to take pictures with your own camera.
