Cosy little cinema with great movie picks in the heart of Cairo.

Great cinema where you get to watch non commercial film where what matters most what the audience think about the films not that Hollywood shoving in your throat kind of films.
It’s romantic, hippy and great place for a night-out.
They added another screen to display two films at the same time.
My personal favorite is screen 1 the smaller of the two screens.
Prices are affordable compared with the cinema tickets prices nowadays.

Zawya is amazing. Period. It's one of those places where you feel like you've travelled in time, where everyone has a great taste and gentle attitude. I love going there when Egypt in general makes me lose hope of it, it's nice to know there's a large group of Egyptians going to watch the same, unknown movie you're going to watch, and equally enjoy it.

It's a small cinema that only has 3 halls and they usually display only 3 movies at a time.
They good thing that it's very cheap. Only 30 EGP for a ticket, 15 for popcorn.
It's not trendy cinema so the halls are not full.
They show 3D movies and the screen is pretty good compared to such a cheap ticket

I love this place, it may not have the best screen nor the best seats but it screens movies that are too usually screened in public cinemas (art house movies) and they don't cut anything out like the rest of movie theaters.

Great place, they have an amazing taste in choosing movies. Staff is so friendly. They organize different movie events every now and then.

Zawya is just breathtaking, captured my heart immediately. The atmosphere and the movies they show makes it my favourite cinema in Cairo.

Small but great theatre. They screen independent movies and some of the popular obes as well. Cheap and with climate. With english and french subtitles.

Non-censored selection of usually good movies. You can expect less commercial indie movies that will not be screened in other cinemas..

A really nice location with friendly staff. Cheap tickets. Movies are not for everyone. You have to like this specific genre.

The theater might not be the best, but the variety of international and independent movies shown there is great. Only theater, to my knowledge, that does that in Cairo

A place where you can see art that you wont normally see anywhere else. Not box office hits nevertheless beautiful and amazing works of art
