my new second home. whether you are looking for a shelter to return to after your explorations or a place to relax in the cool Egyptian evenings, this place is for you. the staff is helpful, friendly, young and well prepared to give advice and information about the city and much more.
the rooms are located on the fifth and sixth floors. the elevator works well despite its somewhat rustic appearance, don't worry. There is a washing machine available to wash dirty clothes. the breakfast delicious every morning. the neighborhood below is magnificent. we made friends with everyone, you will find tobacconists, convenience stores, restaurants and bars open 24/7 with super friendly employees. I recommend you experience the city, which from this position is perfect. a stone's throw from the metro and Zamalek.
the rooms are cleaned on request and the beds are very comfortable. my room had air conditioning and the view of the street was truly stupendous. the shared balcony with cushions and carpets, tables and the best view you can find in the city are probably the strong point of the hotel, together with the friendliness of all the staff. if you are looking for shelter in this city crowded, I recommend you stop here.

Truly a home away from home while staying in Cairo. The staff was beyond excellent and became our family. Also a great location, anything you need is within walking distance. Wonderful service, great location, good breakfast! Highly recommended. Rooms and bedding very clean and tidy. Would be even perfect if the balcony is renovated. Lovely building and absolutely heart the common balcony with bohemian seating arrangement.
Would especially like to thank Tony, Lillian, Martina, George for making the stay as comfortable as possible. And of course the review cannot be complete without mentioning the playful kitten, 2 strutting fat pigeons, 3 doves and so many sparrows - all free and none caged❤

A really nice friendly hostel, we felt very welcome here. On the 6th floor of a largely vacant building, this hostel has really nice rooms and a fabulous roof terrace which is used as a communal space with floor cushions and tables and chairs. Breakfast was delicious and different on the 2 days we stayed. Close to shops and restaurants. The bathrooms were not great but cleaned daily with nice hot showers. Our bedroom was spacious with a high ceiling and an old balcony with amazing views.

The quality-price ratio of this place is under my opinion very high. The hostel is located at a 6th floor of a pretty area in the center of Cairo out of the chaos of the city. It is surrounded by street food places with outstanding and cheap food (1€ for two people aprox.). The staff of the hostel attend guests super nice and the day we checked out they did not show a problem for taking care of our luggage until we finished our visit in Cairo. We feel very thankful for that. Just to say something not so possitve, the breakfast could be a little bit better. Still so happy with our choice :)

We got here at the suggestion of our guide Mariam, who said it was her favorite place to stay in Cairo. And she was absolutely right! What a nice and warm welcome we received. Very clean and spacious rooms with a view on the street and into the distance.
The authenticity overwhelms you as soon as you enter the building. At first you imagine yourself in the wrong place ... look carefully for directions😉. Then you take the elevator to the 6th floor. The elevator is sooooo vintage.
Conviviality, cordiality and helpfulness are highly regarded by the people of Cecilia.
We celebrated Christmas Eve with all the guests in the cozy lounge. The manager of the hotel treated us to takeout from Abou Tarek! We were very grateful for this gesture and it was delicious.
Good base to better explore downtown Cairo. Close to the Egyptian museum.
We enjoyed it immensely.
Highly recommended for people, who prefer to step outside the purely touristy.

We had an amazing stay at Cecilia. Do note that the hotels and hostels downtown are older and in slightly dilapidated buildings, made up fully by authenticity, charm and the extremely reasonable price and value. The rooms at Cecilia are large with high ceilings and nice firm and comfortable bedding. Everthing was clean and the service impeccable. The staff really made our trip and were wonderful in every way. We messed up.our booking on booking.com (best to book directly on their website) and the staff very kindly resolved it.The patio and lounge space is gorgeous..fully recommend.

I heard about this place from IG..someone recommended this hostel and said they gave good service. This place is definitely an amazing spot to stay in Cairo! You can have breakfast, get your own personal room here (balcony too if you want ), and the staff is super sweet. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and valued. I felt safe and comfortable here as a solo female traveler. Its close to El tahrir square and also the Egyptian museum. They also offer shuttle rides to the airport for a fee. They went above and beyond several times. They want their guests to be happy and they make sure you are. ❤ Ill always remember good things about this place.

Friendly owner and friendly staff. They speak English very well.
I could do my laundry by myself for free.

Rooms are simple and air conditioning works.
Rooms (on the main road side) are noisy (as everywhere else in Egypt).

Do not pay too much attention on the ground floor which may be scary (the hotel is on floors 5 and 6).

Fantastic hotel with warm staff, comfortable rooms, & a lovely balcony at an ideal downtown location. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Based in Downtown Cairo, is a strategic position to visit the city.
Its a fairly big hotel and i loved the atmosphere here, the terrace and communal spaces are designed to socialize with people.

Migu is a very friendly host. This hotel is perfect for backpackers : nice rooftop to take a coffee, room and shared bathrooms were clean and acceptable for the price. Central district, nice to go around! I recommend! (Elevator is impressive but safe)
