Golden Star Hotel

Excellent! The staff were amazing (exceptionally welcoming, professional, friendly, extremely respectful, polite, and helpful). The location was great at the heart of the city, so options for food, transport, and even landmarks in Cairo are pretty much walking distance. The room was very clean with the attached bathroom. I highly recommend Golden Star Hostel.

We stayed there for 1 night. We landed in Cairo late at night and reached the building at 3am. The main building gate was closed, we couldn't place a call because we had not got an Egyptian sim yet, but there was a small bell button and the night shift staff came to get us quickly.
He helped us settle in. Even though he couldn't speak a lot of English, he helped us understand everything quickly, payment finished fast. He also helped us with the WiFi.
The next after checking out we did not have any place to leave our luggage as we were going sightseeing, and they agreed to keep it in the hotel itself until we went and got it at night. Overall very nice helpful people.
I would recommend this place to those travelling on a budget. Very good place.

We had a great time at Golden star. The room and bathroom were very clean, the receptionist Ahmed was super helpful and welcoming. We hid his best to help us have a great stay and helped us with any info we needed. Although the hotel is situated in a central spot and the room was very quiet. We totally recommend Golden Star. I stayed here with my wife and 3 young children and it was great! The staff are by far the most welcoming and friendly people. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. They also have a kitchen and washing machine. I highly recommend!

Golden Star Hotel was one of the best experience I had , The hotel and rooms wer clean and tide . The hotel in the middle of Downtown Cairo so everything is near and you can go to everywhere. The staff are super friendly and very well educated and i had the pleasure of talking with owner Mr. Mohamed and felt like talking to a family member 😊. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to all my friends and family .

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everyone that works at the Golden Star Hotel were so kind and friendly. Visiting with them while we ate was my favorite part.

Super clean, lift access and very good helpful staff. The location is right in the centre of Cairo. This is my second time booking with them and they don't disappoint. Good price for rooms. I highly recommend.

The hotel is very good in everything and if i needed i will check in it again except that one of the rooms as they said its water heater is controlled from another room which lead that if that day you are in that room you will have to use the normal water
another day i checked in and i went to another room and the water heater was working
make sure to call them before u go to check if they have rooms
Most hotels that offer rooms for one person with clean room and with water heater and air-condition in the price range of 200 to 300 LE are in that area near to the train station
The hotel is very near to the train station and around 24 to 30 min from cairo airport
regarding the restaurants mcdonalds or gad are very near to it
regarding the shopping malls the most decent ones will be around 25 min by car

Confortable, well located, people (owners) are so polite, gentlemen and friendly and the main thing is that place is well cleaned, organized and has a kitchen for you prepair your meals by yourself, because street food sometimes is not recommended to eat.

A wonderful small hostel right in the downtown area of Cairo. Very fast Wifi, instant hot water in the shower, and very helpful people. Highly recomended
