Virgin Mary’s Coptic Church - Apparition Church

Old church goes back to year 1924, it the same design of Aya Sophia in Istanbul in Turkey, but on a smaller scale, there is an extension across the road much bigger. It is been famous since 1968, when the revelation of Saint Mary appeared above it's dome

Holy small orthodox church, the smaller version of Hagia Sophia church in Istanbul, historic and has great paintings, located in Tomanbai St in Zaition District north Cairo, it was built in 1924, the church has the miracle of Virgin Mary Apparition in 2nd of April 1968 for almost a month, there is a new bigger church in front of it.

My wife enjoyed her visit, a must visit in the morning rather than at night security is very strict. No photo allowed.

Our Lady of Zeitoun, also known simply as El-Zeitoun, Zeitun or rarely Our Lady of Light, was a mass Marian apparition that occurred in the Zeitoun area of Cairo, Egypt, over a period of 2–3 years beginning on 2 April 1968.

So lovely , spiritual and inspiring, virgin Mary have been seen flotation over the church on April 2nd 1968 in white cloth , at first people in the area though that it was someone trying suicide but later on, a glorious light start shining from her and she was standing next to the cross above the church .
