Golden hotel Cairo

The place is very beautiful and is visited by a very large number of people and the service is excellent

I've had many experiences with hotels in Cairo. I never found one that good for that price value. The rooms are always nice, clean, cozy and comfortable. AC is included in all rooms. The place has a no-smoking-in-rooms rule, which makes the air inside the rooms always nice. The staff is really hospitable as well as helpful. It has a unique location suitable for the purpose of your visit since it's in the middle of the capital. If you are here for work, you can go anywhere easily. If you are in Egypt for tourism, they offer incredible tour packages. I'd surely recommend this place for a nice stay.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Before arriving for my trip, I emailed back and forth with the owner to discuss hotel pick up and guided tours during my stay. He was very friendly and responded promptly. This made me feel more comfortable upon my arrival.

When I finally got in (at 1:30am) a driver met me at the airport. Back at the hotel, the owner himself was there to welcome me. He helped orient me to the hotel and to the area. He arranged for me two tours: pyramid tour and a city tour.

Any time I had a question, the staff were always there to answer and help me out. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. We had many good conversations about the things I saw during my tours.

I was very appreciative that I could book my tours right at the hotel. Plus, they arranged everything for me! Water, driver, guide, entrance fees, etc. The tour guide I had was incredible! She was incredibly knowledgable in everything about Cairo and Egypt. We had many wonderful conversations. I felt safe with her and the driver.

Breakfast was included each morning. It included eggs, juice, yogurt, and fruit.

The room was small but very comfortable. It included a small balcony. I only wish it had a dresser or some place for me to unpack my clothes. But other than that, the shower was wonderful and the bed very comfortable.

I really cannot speak highly enough of this establishment. Everyone that works there really went out of their way to make my trip a memorable one. I wish that I could have stayed longer. I look forward to being able to go back some day.

I have been traveling to Egypt every year since 2007 and for the past 9 years I have stayed at the Golden Hotel whenever I’m in Cairo. The rooms and bedding are comfortable and spotless. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, an omlette, yogurt and tea or coffee. Best of all, the owner and staff are welcoming and very accommodating.
The downtown location can’t be beat making it an easy walk to the Corniche, the Egyptian Museum, the American University in Cairo bookstore, Abdeen Palace and lots of restaurants and shops. A slightly longer walk of 20-30 minutes will get you to the Islamic Art Museum, Bab Zuweila, and the Street of the Tentmakers. It’s only a bit more than a 5 minute walk to the Sadat metro station at Tahrir Square to get you to most other destinations.
Modest prices make The Golden Hotel a great value - don’t hesitate to book a room.

I had the pleasure of staying 9 days. I arrived in Cairo non 6/12/15,
and had the hotel mgr co-owner Sharif pick me up from airport, well worth the $20.00, he was there on time, helped me get my Visa, waited with me for my luggage and took me right to the hotel. I was greeted by Nabil (co-owner & partner) had the perfect room with a balcony for my smoking. From Front desk to housekeeping every thing was 5 star. Would highly recommend !!!!

I came upon this hotel by chance, late in the evening, and am so glad I did. It is ideally situated in Downtown, just a short walk from the museum and river. All major fast food resurants are just a few minute walk away too. A couple of minutes walk down the road you also have Cafe Riche, a little resurant I spent many an evening meal. The Golden Hotel itself is just excellent. The rooms are clean and cosy, with fridges and air-con. There are hot showers and free WiFi with various access points situated throughout the hotel. Breakfast is included and there is a little kitchen and balcony where you'all meet new friends. The staff are always helpful to your every need, and simply a delight to be around. I can't rate this hotel highly enough
