Plaza de las Flores

Central Cuenca’s flower market on a small square in front of the Iglesia de Carmen Asunción, which cannot / must not be mistaken for the larger Cuenca Cathedral with the blue domes.

The flower square is a Cuenca institution. It’s radiant floral colors brighten the square even in cloudy/ rainy day.😎😎😎. The fragrance of roses are very distinctly pleasant👏👏👏.

This is simply a great small place to just admire all the flowers and be immersed in the colors!!!

Great place to smell and observe flowers. It’s a small Plaza located right next to the church. Right next to the plaza you can find a small store that sells a herbal tea that has healing powers, it’s called “Agua de Pitimas” Very friendly place, great place for pictures.

It is a square full of colors and beautiful smells of many flowers. I tried the flower juice which was like a cold herbal tea. I like this place to sit and watch the local life in Cuenca.

Small but really nice flowers and cheap

One of the best places to visit in cuenca, it's pretty and magical at 5pm with sun, don't mind the vendors around it, just enjoy the whole picture

Beautiful flowers and grand trees and across the street is Cafe San Blas and the Museum of Modern Art. The museum is free and you will be pleasantly surprised. Head over to Cafe San Blas for espresso or limonada. Or if craft beer and small plates is more your thing, then Jodoco Belgian Beer is at the other side of the park.

Great place it you love plants and flowers! They have some really cool species that we had never seen before.

Reasonable prices, great variety of bouquets, potted flowers, seeds and yes they even have dutch tulip bulbs for $ 1.

3 roses for $1 seems to be a standard price, but look for vendors that "clean" them up
