El Dieciocho

Probably the most top tier resturant in LT. Our food was to die for and the service was impeccable. The owner was very friendly as were all the staff. Presentation was gorgeous and the flavours were so incredible. Probably the best eggplant parm I have ever eaten!! Recommend.

If you close your eyes you could be in Italy, but keep them wide open because in addition to having a view of the ocean, the dishes are not only good, but also beautiful. Ilario and his staff made me feel great and in addition to having a menu for all tastes they always have advice to give and a wine to pair. Perfect for both lunch and dinner, but I also went for an aperitif. I recommend it to anyone who loves or wants to try or rediscover Mediterranean cuisine in the Caribbean.

Great place to eat. The atmosphere is def an excellent spot to eat and drink. The food was really good and the main courses and drinks I thought it was decently priced.

The restaurant gets busy fast but the service was also good. I had no complaint.

Really delicious food. The fish was very tender and the pasta with clams was incredible. The staff is very attentive. The restaurant is slightly pricey, but worth it!

Hands down the best place to eat in Las Terrenas, especially if you love fresh fish like I do.
Excellent attention to details and quality of service well above the average in the area.

Probably the best ever restaurant we have tried in Terrenas (and we are regular visitors for last 25 years). Chef Ippolito and wife Genesis are amazing hosts and the food is superb. The decor is fantastic. The chef suggestions were very welcomed and great.. They are new in the local scene of "Terrenas"

The food was absolutely amazing, everything we had was well balanced and delightful in the flavor combinations. The ambiance was great for a date and the drinks were well prepared. Recommend the shrimp dish of the house and the chicken skewers with peanut sauce, 🤤 . Will return again.

Wonderful. Spectacular. Delicious. El Dieciocho was everything you expect when dining out. The atmosphere and decor was very peaceful and inviting. The service was impeccable. When you think it can’t get any better, the food arrives. Everything was fantastic. If you ever find yourself in Las Terrenas, you should definitely experience El Dieciocho. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable meal.

This was a great discovery for me. Their chick, great located restaurant, was very pleasant. Their food was amazing and the service is a great highly.

For an elegant evening out I highly recommend this restaurant. Everything from the appetizers to the salads and main dishes was excellent. The video I posted is of dorado fish prepared table side. All the servers are very professional, and attentive.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was a modern chic with touches of raffia decorations. Beautiful outdoor space by the beach with good food!

Best food in Las Terrenas, hands down! Martin The chef- owner has over 25 years experience as a chef in the USA. His love for food is evident and he is personable and you feel welcomed. The food is the star of the show, it was OUTSTANDING, coming from a foodie😉. My favorite dishes were here everything we ordered...Shrimp El Dieciocho, Tostones Ropa vieja, chorizo and papas bravas, flan de coco! This place is a must and I can’t wait to come back🥰

Visiting DR and found this restaurant in a guidebook. It does not disappoint. Fresh tuna tataki and the Mahi grilled table side. Nice breeze and excellent view. This has been our best meal in the DR.

Seriously great food! The Chef Carlos came out to discuss the menu, he was fantastic! The atmosphere was beautiful, the people, the food, couldn't ask for more!

This place is perfect. The food, atmosphere and service is amazing. My partner and myself both had the filet mignon. It was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very enjoyable. The staff was very accommodating; especially Pedro. We asked for cilantro sauce for our fries; and they made one just for us. Will come again when in Las Terrenas. 😀

Update: This review appears to be one of the first displayed for El Dieciocho, so I wanted to add that this review was based on a meal there in 2021, when the restaurant was owned and operated by Chef Philip Martin, not the current owners.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. While there are lots of restaurants in Las Terrenas that we love, we were looking for something special for our celebration dinner. When we started asking around for recommendations, many names were mentioned, but the only one that EVERYONE mentioned was El Dieciocho. I am so glad we chose to have our dinner there! It was hands-down the best meal we've had in LT!

The food—from appetizers to desserts—was phenomenal! The service was excellent, attentive without hovering. Philip, the owner, welcomed us to the restaurant and checked in with us a few times throughout the meal to make sure we were satisfied with everything. El Dieciocho will now be our go-to restaurant for special dinners or when we deserve a little treat!

There is a reason this restaurant is rated number 1 in Las Terrenas, DR. Carlos and Phillip have created a 5 star experience from the decor, ambiance, service and food.
