Playa Punta Popy

A great place to hang out! You can rent beach chairs (250-300 pesos each), or just lie on your towel. Punta Popy is full of palm trees, so you can always find shade. Because it’s a point, you can swim on the east or west side, depending on the waves. The sand is nice, and you can walk right into the water on pure sand (no stones). There is often a massage person there (Lourdes), who does a great massage for $40us/hour. On windy days, you can watch the many kite-surfers who come out to learn or jump the waves… great entertainment. There are restaurants nearby to get lunch or a drink and if you leave your towel on the chair, it will be held for you. It’s a great place to go, as there is always somewhere good to hang out, no matter the weather (not rain 😂).

We have been coming to Punta Popy for over 20 years. The new parking lot costs $300 pesos ($6 USD). We liked it when it was open. Watch coral and the drop off. Beautiful sunsets.

This might be one of the best beaches in the area, because is never crowded, water super clear, the right temperature, and there is never waves. Recommend. Bring some food and enjoy the day and possibly sunset! These photos were probably about 1/4 of a mile from the point. So there's no need to stay in the point. Scout an empty area and you will be all set!

One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. my only advice is to bring your own food, blanket, drinks and just find some shade.

A very well kept beach with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the views. There is paid parking 150 pesos. Also chairs cost 150 pesos each. You can also order mixed drinks and food.

Amazing BEACHHHHH!

The Water is as clear as you see on these pictures, the SUN AMAZING TO TAN. There are a lot of places to get some food, definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND getting any drinks or food from the guys at the Beach. You can go to any pizzeria and get something for way cheaper and better quality than whatever they offer.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic! It is located in Las Terrenas and is about 3 hours drive from Puerto Plata.

One of the best beaches I have ever seen. The water is clean and clear. I will say is better than beaches in Punta Cana in my opinion.
