OPTIMA Samana Airport Transfers & Taxi

We had to take a taxi back and forth from Samana airport because Sixt closed their counter for car rental to go and pick-up our car in Las Terrenas. And honestly Optima was excellent at all levels

We used Emilio's airport transfer services on Apr 16 & 23. Rafael was our driver on the 16th and Emilio on the 23rd. Incredibly prompt. Polite Great service This was our 6th visit to Samana and we'll definitely use his services again.

OPTIMA provided us with excellent transportation when needed and also guides great excursion tours. We had a driver waiting for us at the Ferry in Samana where the driver then brought us to our apartment to drop off our luggage and change before heading out to a horseback riding excursion at the Limon Waterfall. I was fearful that this would be too much but they handled all those moving pieces effortlessly. Emilio showed great customer service.

I would definitely recommend Optima taxi service when staying in Samana, DR. I prefer doing excursions private instead of booking with a travel agent. Always find we have a way better experience when we arnt with a bus load of people. Optima taxi offered me everything i wanted to do privately cheaper then booking from the hotel. Emilio was our driver and he was great. 1st day we used Optima, we went to Playa Rincon and had a amazing day. Probably the highlight of our 2 weeks in Samana. Emilio made sure we were taken care of and that we were not being hassled buy any locals trying to sell their products. He had a great family style lunch served to us on the beach for about 10 bucks a head. On our drive that was about a hour and a half he let us know all the highlights.
So happy with Emilios service we booked him for another day. We went zip lining and Emilio suggested the one place was better then the other and we went to where he recommended us and we were not disappointed. He showed us around Samana and had a cooler backed with drinks and ice. We went to bacardi beach where Emilio had reserved a private boat for my family of 3 to go by cause it's an island. Boat captain carried our cooler and made sure we were set up and OK before he left. Another great day thanks to Optima taxi!!!

3rd trip was the worst. He had to take us to the airport to go home!

I traveled to Las Terrenas via STI Santiago airport from 4/11/24 to 4/17/24. The service was impeccable. From the point I made the reservation, the communication was very transparent and quick. Emilio made sure I had a car seat for my one year old and the driver Henry drove incredibly safe and is a tour guide on the way to the Hotel explaining everything along the way. They’re very accommodating, stopping for pictures and bathroom breaks, something the big companies Charge extra for. If you read this give them a chance you will not be disappointed!

Nosotros viajamos a las Terrenas por via de Santiago del 4/1/24 a 4/17/24. El servicio fue impecable. Desde el punto que hice la reservación, la comunicación fue rapida y transparente. Emilio se aseguro que yo tuviera un asiento de niños para el mio de un añito y Henry maneja muy seguro. Henry aparte de guiar tan bien, Es un guia explicando las zonas recorridas. Son muy serviciales parando para que tomemos fotos y en caso de que se necesite usar el baño, un servicio que otras compañías cobran extra. Si leen este review, por favor darles la oportunidad de serviles no se van arrepentir!
