Excellent, calm and clean beach right off the road in El Portillo. You may miss it if you're not careful. You can drive your car into the sand and park. There's a small, shallow, sand-based river that flows into the beach that makes for a quite refreshing time. There are no vendors, no food nor accommodations, just calm, great waters that you can walk in for meters and still be only knee-deep in water. Totally recommended!

Beautiful shallow and calm waters. Many little fish and sea creatures to keep kids (and adults!) fascinated for hours. No real facilities, but lovely natural area.

No words. What an amazing beautiful. Perfect for kids, crystal clear water, no waves, a lot of corals with fish and sea life. It was amazing. My kids loved it

Love the beach and small dining place next to parking area. Water is vary between very low level and nice deep swim. Great place for snorkeling too! There is really cold small stream merging the ocean. Palm trees, nature there is just amazing. Spent few hours today and didn’t wanna return to capital at all. My second favorite beach in Dominican Republic. Must to visit. But try weekdays with no crowds 🙈🏖👙🐠🦀 It’s pet friendly too 🐶🐶🐶

So far the most beautiful beach in DR for me. It is paradise for kids, shallow water without big wawes, plenty of shade, crystal clear river meets the ocean(combination of cold fresh water and warm ocean water). Amazing place, strongly recommend!

With a small, fresh, cold water stream mixing to the ocean, it's the most refreshing place to be on a hot muggy day. Beautiful beach, pretty clean and was a joy with all the families. . . . . . Then buddy rolls in with his black van to cut the peace with typical too loud music.
Will definitely make repeat trips here to refresh.

This was a pretty nice beach driving along the coast of the road in Las Teranas. While I was there, the water was calm. The dropoff in the ocean was a long way as I was able to walk deep into the ocean and the water was up to 4 feet or so.

Finding parking was simple as just driving in and parking on the sand.

The beach didn't have many tourists other than myself as it's frequented by locals primarily.

This is a beach I can recommend if you want to get away from the crowds.

Shallow, clear water, soft sand, great for toddlers & accesible for the aged and disabled. It also has a small fresh water creek that opens into the ocean that is slightly colder than ocean water but very tolerable.

Great beach that you can drive your car onto the sand and park. The water is typically very calm and the water is clear for snorkeling. We saw lots of fish around the reefs in the water. We also found lots of beautiful shells underwater

Beautiful Beach 🏖 Great to bring kids. There's a small place where you can buy food, sea food mainly. There's a small river (very fresh water, loved it) not too far from there you can get to pueblo las Terrenas where there are plenty of restaurants and hotels. Also in the way there you can see plenty of other beautiful Beaches. I Will definitely go back soon.

Great beach. Cool small river flows in. There is and excellent restaurant on the beach near the river. It is has a few tables outside and excellent food. It is little more than a kitchen without outdoor tables

So relaxing! Watched a puck up baseball game of boys and girls from maybe age 10-18, spear fisherman bringing back and cleaning their catch then grilling on charcoal grill

This is one of the mos beautiful Beaches in the country. It is not deep at all. I will be posting 360 fotos and videos soon. It has easy access, water is clean. There are sufficient garbage cans so that people don't leave trash around. Also, there are a few businesses where you can purchase food and drinks. It is a very interesting place because of the river that ends in the beach. This lets you enjoy the hot waters of the beach, but also the cold and clean waters of the river. You could literally walk 2 steps and feel the chang of its temperature. RECOMMENDED.

One of must beautiful place I have ever visit.a lot of great restaurants to choose from and bars as well a very safe place too. You will a lot of fun.
