Amazing excursion. Nelson was an awesome guide and his partner Oscar was also very helpful. Emmanuel was great at getting us signed up for the small group tour. The cash only policy was a little bit of a problem for some of the guests, but the tour and customer service was worth every penny. Thanks for an amazing time.

Simply perfect! We are a family with 2 children (youngest 7 years old) and did 3 excursions: Los Haitises, 3 beaches and El limon. All were perfectly organized: transport from the hotel, captain, very good guides. Each excursion with a good lunch in a local restaurant. All people from Flora Tours are so nice. Prices were very correct, especially compared to what you would pay for similar excursions in Punta Cana. Don't hesitate, just book with Flora Tours, you won't regret.

Had wonderful experiences both whale watching and on a tour of Los Haitises in beautiful Samaná Bay.

Convenient pickup and drop-off at my hotel in Las Terrenas. Safe and courteous drivers to and from the boat locations. Safe and comfortable boats with expert crew. Informative guides who speak Spanish, French, English, and possibly other languages.

Best of all, personal attention made possible by the small size of the tour groups. Have been recommending to friends and would happily use again!

A friend and I did a quad excursion to visit a cocoa and coffee farm, with some stops on beautiful beaches along the way - a couple of months ago. All was great. Emmanuelle was very friendly, helpful and responsive. The group was small, which was much more enjoyable than another excursion we did with our hotel. The tour guide was nice and knowledgeable.

We had an amazing ATV tour with Oscar! We were a group of just four, and we each drove our own ATV. It was so much fun to go through different terrain, and even though it rained during our tour it actually made it more exciting because we went through small rivers and puddles with the atv- they can handle anything! The beaches we saw were empty and absolutely beautiful. The family who gave us cocoa and coffee was also extremely nice. Oscar was very friendly and gave us a great time!!!

Small but most excellent tour and excursion organization. Professional, knowledgeable, amiable, multi-lingual and approachable. First went on a tour to Los Haitises a number of years ago with them and was totally impressed. Went on the Whale Observation tour in Samana Bay February 12 and the whole tour/trip was awesome and well worth it and came back knowing so much more about these magnificent mammals that I ever thought I knew about them! Their tour guides and drivers are all long time employees as well and all very friendly and knowledgeable as well.

We went on the Los Haitises excursion with Flora Tours. While I’d personally prefer a weekday for any kind of sight seeing, we went on a Saturday as that was the date offered to our group. A van will pick you up right at your hotel or villa. The van was prompt, right on time. We then made 3 more stops afterwards to pick up additional groups. We had a 40 minute ride to Sanchez where we boarded the excursion boat with yet additional tourists (from other companies so clearly they have an agreement to travel together and share the boat). In this sense, it wouldn’t have mattered whether you bought your excursion with one company or another. Our guide spoke 3 languages which was impressive. Because he spoke 3 languages, you had to listen to the information 3 times, in 3 languages, for each bit of info he was giving. While I appreciate the need to do this (and that any language other than Spanish is even an option) it did take away from the quantity and quality of information provided in my opinion.

The park itself is absolutely beautiful - you won’t be disappointed. The sights really are unlike anything else I’ve personally ever seen in my own travels so far. We didn’t encounter any other boats or tour groups on our way into and around the park, including the first cave we visited. At the last cave, there was already one boat docked, with that group ahead of us. On our way out of the last cave, another boat was just docking and unloaded a good 50 sight-seers into the cave. I really wouldn’t want to be in there with that many people so I was very happy we were on our way out.

The cave with Taino drawings was neat, but in my opinion far too much time was spent there. Once you see the drawings, you’ve seen them. The guide spent a long, long time discussing that cave in Spanish and French, but only spent what felt like a fraction of that time discussing in English. To be honest, by that time I was getting really antsy and was ready to leave so my interest in the information had already waned and I really just wanted to get on the boat and go (and so did my three kids!).

After that cave, we went into a mangrove for a relaxing refreshment. That was actually one of my favorite moments during the excursion. From there, we made out way out of the park, passing an island that was supposedly the setting for a season of the show “Survivor”. We saw some really large starfish there which was neat.

Once the tour was over, we ate at a restaurant in Sanchez. It was typically Dominican fare and really good, especially after 3 hours touring on a boat! Another 40 minute ride and we were back at our villa.

All in all, the experience met my expectations, and I would recommend Flora tours based on my experience.

I don’t like going on excursions with your groups - it is not my way of travel or sight seeing at all. I prefer to go on my own, taking my own route and time to see what I’d like to see with no one else around and without the confines of a tour schedule. However, that does not seem to be an option for exploring this park - one would need to rent a boat to even get there. It seems like only the most savvy of explorers could manage to see this park on their own.

Marvelous experience with an excursion to El Salto Limón from Las Terrenas. We booked easily through speaking directly with Nicholas at his office in town, paying online. Everything in the excursion exceeded expectations, from our driver Pasqual (who picked us up from our hotel) to our amazing guide Fransisco (a local man of the nearby town of El Café and generously shared a lot of information about the medicinal plants and agriculture we encountered) to the gorgeous hike to the sacred waterfall itself to the delicious Dominican lunch buffet included at the end. Highly recommended!

We visited Los Haitises with them, and had a wonderful time! The park is just stunning, and our guide was perfect - fun and very interesting. We were on a boat with only 20 people + crew, and it was lovely that we were the only boat there. We cruised a big chunk of the park's coastline, heard about the fisherman and all the birds, went through mangroves and visited 3 Taino caves with a full story about their history. Everything was perfectly organized. Full recommendation.

Super organization! Good excursion, with no pressure and lots of explanations about the nature (caves, mangroves, birds etc). Very nice boattrip, but be aware of getting wet if sitting at the back. We did not care at all.. more adventure for use (and the kids). Good lunch at the end!

We went on the 4 beach tour. It was breathtaking. We drove in the guide van from las terrenas to the boat launch, which was in las galeras. That drive had some pretty spectacular views itself. It's maybe 1.5 hours.

The boat goes into the ocean a bit of a ways to get to the beaches. So there are some biggish waves, beware. Our guide was very nice about it - he said we could do beaches that would involve a trip with smaller waves.

The beaches were astounding. Secluded, pristine, calm, warm. The guide lets you just chill and do whatever you want for pretty much as long as you want.

We had my 5 year old along and she was perfectly happy, to give you a sense.

One beach involved snorkeling. There was this little seawater river that we snorkeled in. The fish weren't amazing as far as samana goes, but it was still well worth it.

Then we went to the last beach for lunch. It was a beach restaurant on a very secluded beach. Lunch was included and very tasty.

The guide was very friendly and chatty. I thought his english maybe could've been a little better. But overall highly recommend it.
