Costa Las Ballenas - Beach Hotel and Restaurant

This resort has a lot to offer for all guest who attend. The rooms are cleaned diligently. Staff is friendly and willing to do whatever needed to benefit your stay.The grounds are well manicured and beautiful. The restaurant has a full menu of excellent food and drink choices. This is a must stay for your Caribbean relaxing vacation or getaway!

This bungalow-style resort in Playa Bonita is a dream come true. Our short stay here (mid-February 2020) was above expectations. Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good and served in a long time range all until 11:30! The grounds (landscaped garden with a pool) is very well kept and truly pleasant. The beach in front has some rocks, however dreamy beaches extend both to the left and to the right and are only a short walk away. Special thanks and praise goes to Ezekiel at the reception.

Great ambience, open air and 50 metres from the beach. Beautiful Caribbean decor, a varied menu and attentive service. Recently opened, they apologized for the seasonal high temperature and that were in the process of installing ceiling fans, which would certainly make for a more comfortable ambience. That aside the main courses we chose, fillet steak and a Spaghetti Arabiatta were excellent. These together with a good Spanish Tempranillo that we finished seated in the garden, resulted in a more than reasonable bill. Overall an excellent new dining option on Playa Bonita.

Another favorite place in the area – food and beverages are very decent, service is pretty good and staff speaks some English, as well as French. They accept major credit cards – unlike many businesses in the area. Views are pretty good – especially at night, you just few steps away from beach. For romantic dinner one of the best places ;)

Nice hotel in Las Terrenas.

Far from the center (only 10 minutes through) so really calm, and with a great beach front.

Garden is super tight, and it’s very nice to walk between rooms (small houses with carribean Cana roofs), pool and seaside.

Staff is super friendly ! Very profesional too.

Breakfast was way above expected, a small cute buffet, bread, cakes, pancakes, cereals, fresh tropical fruits, ham, cheese and cooked on demand eggs, with all the coffee, tea and natural house made juices as much as you can get.

We loved that place and price was amazing.

Funny detail, the rooms have a small oriental touch inside from the decor to a small and nice smell, kinda hammam. Could be ridiculous in the Caribbean but it really works, and we liked it very much.

You should try it.

I visited this hotel with my wife a few weeks ago, we had a wonderful time, nice rooms, the landscape is very pretty and the beach Playa Bonita is an absolute Paradise, crystal clear water extending over half a mile into the sea, not too crowded, the staff was very polite and friendly, we enjoyed the breakfast. Will definitely be coming back soon.

We stay at costa las ballenas for three-night. The room is nice (mosquitoes friendly 😅). Elena was a super host, always ensuring we needed anything and with multiple recommendations for our next steps at the island.

The experience at Costa La Ballenas is a true authentic Caribbean experience! The attention to detail by the proprietors, Vincenzo and Gilda truly is personal. This beautiful resort is not a tourist location but a very relaxing and pampering location with a wonderful Italian restaurant that is under Gilda's supervision, and the resort and amenities under Vincenzo's watchful eyes. They will assist in transport and any excursions to enjoy this paradise. It definitely should be on every bucket list. I will definitely be returning.

I came here for one week with family and friends and I have rarely had an experience like this. The houses, pool, food and drinks are unbeatable and the beach is amoung the top that I have ever seen and they are in your backyard. I highly highly recommend this place, it is friendly, welcoming and incredible.

We were here for dinner and coffee for one hour only, but the place is wonderful. Our meal was very tasty. Great location.

Heaven on earth. Probably the best choice in Las Terrenas. Service was impeccable and location can’t be beat. Restaurant was top notch also. I absolutely can’t wait to come back. Don’t forget to check out their in-house massage service.

Hermoso Resort, bella playa al frente.......friendly staff with a very open garden layout great for relaxing durrying the day, night, evnig which ever you choose. i recommend you walk down the beach to
(PLAYA PUNTA BONITA) amazing view of the cost to each side.
