We met Helen and Doug on our very first trip to Las Terrenas in 2017. On that first trip, Helen worked with us to help us understand exactly what we were looking for in a vacation home, then found us a fantastic turn-key apartment that was ready for rentals. On our next visit, we focused on land to build a home once we moved down her full time. Doug showed us dozens of building lots until we found one to buy. We later decided that the ocean view was key, so Doug was traipsing through hillside lots with us again to purchase our third property!

I was in contact with Doug a few weeks before my arrival in Las Terrenas and he and his wife Helen were always super friendly and responsive. Doug took me around for an entire day and showed me so many amazing properties. He is well known in the community and knows every nook and cranny of Las Terrenas. Helen is an honest and kind person. She can be trusted. I spent 3 years in Las Terrenas on day one I was told by one of the few decent people there that she could be trusted and that he knew of no other who could. He could not have been more right. Helen has integrity. Buyer beware if you deal with anyone else. I know it sounds pessimistic. Perhaps there are other real estate agents in Las Terrenas that can be trusted I dont know them. The locals generally see new gringos as fat targets and they fight to see who will fleece them.

For the last two years Helen and Douglas at Beachtown Property have helped us search for property and secure a beautiful lot. This week Douglas's construction company along with King Soto Construction completed our dream home. Both of these fine people have gone above and beyond what was required and along the way have become good friends . I do not recommend this real estate company. They try to sell you a listing and give you false information and then when you decide to submit the offer for the listing, they came back with a way higher price just because you like the listing. They are not professional, they give you false information and try to say that we are in fault for not understanding correctly. Do not use this real estate company. Carlos and Doug and not very professional in their business.
