Very nicely located, great view. Well equipped. Only a pedestal fan would have been good. And of course you should be “mobile”, an off-road vehicle is really an advantage here.

We stayed at the villa for 2 nights. We were welcomed by Jeff and had a fantastic stay. The villa is located outside the main city so you need a vehicule to get there and around. It comes with a magnificent kitchen, fully equipped. The living room and terrace are amazing! I'd definitely rent it again on a future trip or recommend it to any of my friend if they travel in the region.

It was a beautiful villa very private very well maintained nice layout . Jeffrey was a great host.

To flee. Dishonest and indecent host. We had the worst rental experience on airbnb with this villa and its owner. However, we have been renting regularly for 10 years and we are even hosts. I am posting a comment here because the host made us cancel on airbn b thus depriving us of sharing our comments. We only spent one night in this villa because we could not sleep as the bedding was bad. Certainly new but of very low quality, springs covered with a fine low-end fabric as a mattress. No matter how much we put on blankets to soften it, nothing helped. Let's get along well. It was not a firm mattress, which I would have greatly appreciated, but a hard one, which attacked the back. Impossible to sleep. I specify that my husband and I have no back problem. At 200 usd per night, I think it is our right to demand minimum quality bedding. The owner was obnoxious. He did not want to reimburse us of course, nor even to make a gesture by reimbursing us for example half the price. He therefore asked us to return the keys without any damages. He just offered to reimburse us for the nights only if he managed to re-let. Which was totally impossible, and we had no guarantee giving him the keys. There are dozens of rentals in Las Terrenas all better than the rest, so the competition is fierce. The damage was financial for us but let's move on. It was not the most serious. Above all, we have suffered a great moral prejudice. When the host came to have the villa returned to him, he indicated that he was not responsible for my back pain and that I had not been able to sleep because I was affected by the death of my mother !! Indeed, 15 days before, I had told her that I was stuck in France because of my mother who was dying and that I could not be able to rent the villa as planned. He had already made no gesture, saying in the same way that he would reimburse me for the nights that if he managed to rebook. My mother died quickly and so I returned to the Dominican Republic and maintained my reservation: it was 7 nights already paid that I did not want to lose since no arrangement was possible. The photos were enticing and I was excited to stay in the villa. If the bed had been even passable, of course we would have stayed. But we had to spend 6 more nights. The host was therefore deaf to our discomfort, worse he dared to use the death of my mother to justify the fact that I had not managed to sleep in his bed !! Have you ever seen this kind of indecent person? Not me. A very heated exchange followed. Given his attitude, we felt that we could keep the villa since we had paid for it, and that even if we did not sleep there, we could come back to our guisz to benefit from the swimming pool. He did not want. He was shouting. In the midst of the Covid pandemic, he lowered his fabric mask to yell at us, respecting no distance, sputtering everywhere. This is just a detail but it shows how totally disrespectful this host was. Beyond all this, I would like to say honestly that the villa is pretty, with a very nice view, but access is difficult. It is very sparingly equipped and is not practical. For example, the toilets and bathrooms are outside, so it is not easy to access them, especially at night. You will also have to deposit 250 usd in cash as a deposit. This is not a common practice on Airbn b. I myself am a guest. But be it. The host also makes a list with the prices of the items that you will have to pay if they deteriorate, for example 200 pesos for a drink, etc. Yet there is nothing of value, but very few Ikea tableware, that's all. I end with this example to show the meanness of this host. We are far from the Airbnb spirit. This is the honest testimony of a client but also of a guest.
